“Perfect Ladies Get Away for Santa Fe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2011

I booked this Inn for my annual "Roomie Reunion" for me and my three college (UCLA) roommates. We were greeted with warmth and even gluton free cookies for one of us!! The breakfasts were delicious and substantial with many healthy choices. They are so genuinely interested in your comfort and experience in Santa Fe. The Inn is quiet but the location is perfect - we could walk to all the best Santa Fe sites. Special kudos to Dawn for her patience and assistance and to Skye for making all the lodging arrangements. The Lobby area is arranged perfectly for small group gatherings and the outside grounds, although still not "bloomed out" in early April, were inviting. I wish there was a suite in the Inn that would hold all four of us, as we had to split up into rooms - but all in all it was one of our better experiences. We four have stayed on the Oregon Coast, Whidbey Island, Sedona AZ, Ashville NC, Lennox MA, , etc - and this was one of our best!!. If we return to Santa Fe, we will definitely return to the Madeleine Inn.

We returned to this lovely B & B, and were not at all disappointed on our return. Everything, especially the warm, helpful staff made our stay more then expected. The cookies especially delicious, just wonderful.

We were charmed by the decor, atmosphere location and staff. The morning brakfasts were always different and delectable. The coziness kept us there longer than expected. The staff is charming , helpful and considerate. What a beautiful, relaxing cultural experience The Madeline Inn offers.

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Madeleine Inn in Santa Fe. When planning a trip, I get a bit obsessed about planning and reading reviews from a variety of resources. We chose the Madeleine Inn based on positive reviews, location and the attached spa. I read a couple of the negative reviews on this website and it appears that the complaints were mostly about the size of the rooms?? Well, it is a historic home and the rooms are not going to be large. We stayed in the Hyacinth room and had plenty of space. We really liked the location at the end of a street. It was so quiet and we were able to walk to many of the interesting locations in the city. We felt safe walking to/from dinner at night, also. The breakfast in the morning at Hacienda Nicholas (across the driveway) was wonderful and we liked that you didn't have to be there at an exact time.

The Madeline and Hacienda Nicholas Inns are our favorite places to stay when visiting Santa Fe. We love everything about these sister inns. They are situated on quiet streets away from the hustle and bustle, but within easy walking distance to the plaza and the Canyon Road galleries. The breakfasts are terrific and the snacks left out during the day, as well as the evening wine and cheese hour are a very nice touch. What really keeps us coming back again and again is the friendliness and hospitality of the owner, Carolyn Lee and her staff. Wow, they make you feel very special and go out of their way to help with recommendations on everything from dining, to shopping to art and culture activities. We recommend staying in one of the casitas – Forsythia or Violet, although all of the rooms at The Madeline are wonderful. Also, make sure to treat yourself to a massage at their spa, Absolute Nirvana. Well, the name says it all – what a great way to unwind and relax (and it is all onsite – how convenient is that!).

The Madeline was exactly what was described through the web site. The massages were wonderfully relaxing and uplifting. Wine tasting time before a fire, a perfect recipe to wind down from experiencing all Santa Fe has to offer throughout the day. The breakfast was very satisfying and the staff very attentive.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at Madeleine Inn last week. The Inn is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were in the Morning Glory room and it's lovely, with a lot of room for everything we carried with us. Breakfast with Greg every morning was delightful--the food was absolutely the best and the tips and hints he gave us for places to go were great. It was very cold while we were there and snowy, but we never took the car out and walked everywhere. Dianna was so helpful and really treated us like family, It was fun every day to sit and have a glass of wine with Marilee--we even bought a case to take home with us. The perfect place for a relaxing vacation, with wonderful restaurants and museums within walking distance. We'll come back!
