We stayed when it was Econolodge (one review mentioned the name has changed to Motel 6?)
Visit is always during mid-May, before before Memorial Day and start of summer...
Good location, indoor pool (mind the slick surface around the pool!). The staff was always friendly and rooms were clean, but did in bad need of updating. However, we go to Santa Fe for the outdoors, downtown etc.

First of all, we couldn't find this place because we were looking for the Econo Lodge sign but it is now a Motel 6--supposedly a very recent change. What did the room have? A huge, deep crack in the bathroom sink and a noisy heater. What did the room not have? No coffee/tea maker; no iron and ironing board, no tissue paper and not even a 'Do Not Disturb' sign. The Continental Breakfast is bye-bye too. You can get a cup of hot coffee in the morning. The sauna was not working and the jacuzzi was well heated but looked as though someone put dish soap in the water--bubbles everywhere.
I'm not a fussy traveler but do expect to get what is advertised. Am kicking myself for not spending $5-10 night extra and getting a Much nicer experience, especially during Santa Fe's off season.
Good N Cheap

We reservred four room for one night. All of was satisfied. the staff was friendly & did a good at check in.The breakfast was ok, normal for most econo lodges. It had been a while since i had stayed it this econo lodge, it looked it had some needed up dates.

This hotel is as good as the money you pay for it. Considering its less expensive, it is also not a great hotel. The staff is nice and was more then Willing to move me to another room at midnight when i could not sleep because of a loud utility room. The rooms are about as blah as they come. Not the cleanest but they met my standards for money I wanted to put out. All in all, its not bad for the cost. DONT EXPECT HILTON SERVICE IF U ARE NOT PAYONG FOR IT!!!
