“In all the tourist mags”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Good but typical Mexican dishes. The servings are substantial and nicely presented. Good service, with a moment to actually talk with patrons, if you are so inclined. The sopapillas never fail to please, and with an iced tea or hot coffee, make a wonderful mid-morning or mid-afternoon treat, as well as an end of the meal treat.

“Best price on dinner and drinks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Been to Tomasita's so many times it is hard to count, but it still has great traditional food at a decent price for downtown Santa Fe and the margarita is hard to beat. That's why the place is so crowded, but they're pros and can handle it. Try the Sanga-rita (Margarita and Sangria) whew, it's addictive.

“Tourist Stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

This restaurant has good New Mexican food, but there are others in town that are better and not nearly so crowded. Its popularity with tourists means there's almost always a line, and usually a long one. My recommendation; skip this and go to nearby La Choza or Maria's. Of course, Tomasita's is right next to the RailRunner station, so that does add some convenience.

“Love the chile, Margies ...meh.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Love the specials and the bowls that you can make up as you go along. Huge place, so atmosphere isn't great but it is bustling and the bar is darker and smaller and sometimes a better option for two. Margaritas are not the best in town- on the sweet and pricey side they are not my favorite and I would rather drink beer there. Still the chile makes this a must stop in Santa Fe.

“A Local Favorite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

This is typically a very busy restaurant: lots of seating, rather loud, good food & convenient to many things:
- Walking distance from Plaza
- Walking distance to Sambusco Shopping
- Walking distance to REI & Farmers Market
- Next door to Rail Runner (literally)

They do have (in my opinion) the best Tortilla Soup in town. It's light (broth-based, which is my personal favorite) with fresh ingredients. And, for two, you can actually order a large Greek Salad, split it, and each order a bowl of Tortilla Soup for under $20. That is a deal in Santa Fe.

Greek salad is wonderful - I could eat it every day. Sopapillas are wonderful.

Service has always been good for us. It does get busy at peak meal hours, so there is lots of hustling around by the staff.

If you're arriving/departing by train, this is a great meeting spot.
