Owner description: Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among pinons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

“An unforgettable experience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Excellent amenities, exceptional toilets, creative foot baths, zen surroundings, pretty private baths, and large saunas all placed in picaresque stone and wood overlooking the mountains. Clothing is optional! Our entire family enjoyed the spa, and we had a wonderful time. My only complaint is that the aforementioned ammassed a high,
although tolerable, price.

“Gorgeous and serene setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Relaxing, quiet place in early March. Masseuse was skillful and professional. Enjoyed the au naturel experience. Suggest that you go hiking at the nearby Hyde Memorial Park first, then come sit in the hot baths.

“THE Asian Spa Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

These Japanese baths and spas in the mountains near Santa Fe take you to a whole new world. We did the super premium "Ichiban" private bath, but there is something here for everyone. Massages too. The setting and ambiance are sheer perfection as are the amenities. This really is what a "spa" experience is supposed to be! Heaven on Earth...

“Get ready for an amazing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

The absolute best in Zen like relaxation. It's hard to prepare you for just how amazing this experience is - and best in winter! Outside, open to the sky tubs that are completely private. Wonderful services (deep tissue massage like I've never experienced before) and a general feeling of peace pervade the area. If you go once I guarantee you'll return!

“Unique spa experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Amazing grounds. Numerous service options. Ichiban cabana worth it. What an indulgence. Everything you could possibly want but heated bed could've been warmer. Would've enjoyed couples massage more had my hubby not snored most of the time ; -). Would love to go back for four hands massage and take advantage of relaxation room.
