“Always a favorite stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2015

We love the new little open faced breakfast sandwiches, but how can you skip the croissants? My only problem with this special place is that I want to try every item. We have never had anything that wasn't over the top delicious. They are of the same food philosophy as Tartine in San Fran where the browning creates carmelization flavors that enhance every baked treat they make. Yum. Yum. Yum. Triple Cream Yum. (oh and the coffee drinks are spot on, too).

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2015

This place is small, so you need to be prepared for that, but the coffee was good and the food was delicious. There were refills on large cups of regular coffee, and they do specialty coffee drinks, as well. The baked goods include loaves of various breads, pies, danishes, cinnamon rolls, quiche, tarts, cookies (I think), sandwiches, and tartines. We had danishes that were good and flaky, not too sweet. The spinach and blue cheese quiche was yummy and filling, and they heated it up for us to eat there. The BEST part, though, was the avocado smash tartine. A generous number of bread slices, covered in smashed up avocado and topped with crisped serrano ham. SO. GOOD. The scrambled eggs tartine that several other people had also looked good. They had a steady stream of customers picking up for the holidays while we were there, and all of the staff remained helpful and polite. It is a close walk from the Hotel Santa Fe, and I highly recommend making a visit.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2014

The best bakery in the Southwest! We stopped by 15 minutes before the bakery closed, and service was positive and friendly. The kitchen was closed but we had a delicious egg sandwich and a gruyere/ham tart. WOW. Really fun to sit and watch the bustling bakery production in this warehouse-style cafe. The new organic bread is a must buy, don't miss this local gem!

“Homemade bread and soup”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2014 via mobile

I visited Sage Bakehouse for the first time on my latest trip to Santa Fe. What a treat! I had 2 different types of bread with a vegan corn soup with tarragon butter and homemade peach chutney. The staff was so welcoming and apparently they provide bread to Whole Foods. Beautiful, modern design. Oh, and I loved the cloth napkins. No paper, what a nice touch!

“Heavenly!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2014

An amazing bakery! Breads and pastries are divine. For a hardy breakfast try one on the tartines. I had one with scrambled eggs and avocado. The eggs were perfectly scrambled served open-faced on buttered toast.

Go early and start your day in Santa Fe the right way. Santa Fe is a walking town, so enjoy every decadent calorie!
