The place looks and feels very comfortable, with lots of room and laid back vibes. But the food and service were terrible. It took perhaps twenty minutes for my meal to be prepared. The ordered breakfast of eggs, hash browns, and English muffin had obviously been sitting around for awhile, as it was somewhat cold, at best at room temperature. The hash browns were loaded with copious amounts of red grease, and the English muffin was as hard as a rock, also cold. Luckily there are no tips, but this means that one must stand in line to order and then your name is called and the staff has to find you to give you your food. By far my worst restaurant experience ever in Santa Fe.

Unless you really like pastries, which looked wonderful in the pastry case, don't bother with this place! My daughter and I ordered a simple breakfast early on a Sunday morning. Her waffle was dry and cold. I ordered a side over-easy egg which was overcooked and cold and a side pancake which was overcooked outside and raw inside.
The coffee was lukewarm and the service, order at the counter and have it delivered, was impersonal at best. Better places to consider for breakfast are Counter Culture, Harry's and Tecolote Cafe.

locals- I like the garden burger ....

If you want to know where Santa Fe locals eat, this is it. Informal eating at it's best. Less expensive, good food. A coffee shop with locally roasted coffee and great pastries. The pueblo pie is my favorite. Pleasantly noisy and always busy, it's a great meeting place and the best people-watching cafe in town.
