“Best place for Chicken Enchiladas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2011

We have made many trips to Santa Fe over the years. Our visit would not be complete without a visit to Tortilla Flats for breakfast or lunch. It is a family friendly place, with attentive servers and great prices. Our favorite on the menu: Chicken Enchiladas. Order it with black beans, green and red chili ("Christmas"), and posole. Portions are large, so save room for the side order of sopapilla with honey.

“Our first meal in Santa Fe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

The lady in the tourist information office recommended this restaurant as "the place where we natives eat". So we drove there to sample the local cuisine. It was located a short distance from the town center on a busy highway near the Hampton Inn and similar hotels. They serve breakfast all day. One of us had the breakfast special at 4 pm - eggs, pancakes , hashrowns etc. One of us had the chicken and vegetable burrito which was very good. There were other people in the dining room but we could not be sure if they were natives or tourists. On the whole, it was a good experience.

“Decent breakfast. Clean and friendly.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

Good breakfast. Red sauce has a kick so get it on the side if that might be a problem. Mederatain omolete was good.

“EVERYthing GREAT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2011

We ate here for breakfast at the recommendation of the chief chef at the Santa Fe School of Cooking, and we were not disappointed. The sauces, both red and green, were delicious and hot but not so hot we didn't enjoy them. The food totally tasty and beautifully presented. Our waiter couldn't have been more attentive and accommodating to anything we asked for. If we lived in Santa Fe, this would definitely be a regular spot for us when we don't want to cook.

“Some Things Good - Some Things Bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2010

We dined at Tortilla Flats recently and had mixed emotions. First, we must have had "tourist" tattooed on our foreheads as we were steered by the hostess into an empty rear dining room (later found that the busy front room bar area had 1/2 price appetizers until 6:30 PM). Second, waiter recommended the "perfect margaritas" which we later found were $8.75 each. Third, the chili con queso was more chili than con queso. Not good!

On the plus side, the chips and salsa, beef brisket burritos and chicken enchiladas were very good. The sopapillas were excellent.

We would return but on much different terms!
