“Tasty New Mexican Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

The cafe was packed at 2:30pm, which was seemingly a good sign related to the quality of food, and it did not disappoint. My wife ordered the cheese enchiladas and I had a Kale salad with the quesadilla and albondiga soup. For dessert we shared Tangerine ice cream with melted chocolate sauce (the combination sounds odd; however, the taste is magnificent).

The cafe was full and if having a good amount of elbow room and ample space is a requirement, this may not be an ideal stop. The food was tasty though with good service.

“Delicious southwestern food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

This is a tiny, popular restaurant. We went at 5 and folks were already lining up at the door. It's cozy and full of art inside. Small tables. Great service. Wonderful mole, -everything was superb- so much so that we bought the cookbook. Very fun evening.

“All buck and no bang”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Unlike the other recent reviewers, our experience here was anything but a good one. Reservations were worthless, we were seated at the communal table in the dead center of the restaurant, which is not spacious to begin with. So if you enjoy rubbing elbows and kneecaps with a stranger and being bumped around, then this will work for you. They should reconsider table space in this area, it was a pack 'em in, pack 'em out. Service was slow, waiter dropped the dishes on the table and retreated to the kitchen doorway where he lingered to chat with his colleagues. Never asked as to our meal/s which were not anywhere near as praise worthy as the other reviewers'. Chile Rellenos were tough and stringy, the small Taco was soggy from the grease it was laying in. Their Mole was outstanding but certainly not worth coming back for. Too many choices in Santa Fe to deal with this overrated overpriced cafe.

“Must do in SF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Make a reservation! Some of the best food we had on pretty much an eating vacation. The place looks and feels pretty casual but the food is on par with anything SF has to offer. The menu selections appear on the surface to be sort of typical southwestern fare but everything is done so very well. Not really a cheap place to eat dinner but oh so worth it. We dined in some much higher end places on this trip but the food at Cafe Pasqual's was the most memorable for me. Try the mole.

“Excellent New Mexican Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

This has been one of our regular stops when we are in Santa Fe. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner over the years and have not been disappointed with the food. It is a little more expensive than a casual restaurant but has a casual feel with excellent New Mexican food. If you do not time your visit carefully you will wait to get a table.
