Description: The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

“Still The Same BITE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2014 NEW

So Bobcat Bite hit the dust, but the legend lives on at Santa Fe Bite. Bonny and John still in charge, the burgers are still mouthwateringly the best...and now with a larger kitchen, the menu has expanded. For those of us who longed for a dessert after having savored a green chili cheeseburger with home fries, we no longer have to "go down the road!" Bonny makes some mean German chocolate cake, among other tasty delights. Oh yes, they now offer malteds and shakes...

“Weekend breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2014

This has become a go to place for me, and friends I've been sharing Sunday breakfast with for 20+ years. Bonnie and her staff are incredible and always make us feel at home. Add to that, they have gluten free toast and that makes me a happy camper - - since that's pretty hard to come by in Santa Fe. Reasonably priced and the staff always going above and beyond. You won't and cant' go wrong for a weekend breakfast!

“Great burgers just off the plaza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2014

The place was crowded and the food came out quickly anyway.

The burgers came as ordered and were wonderful.

Service is quick and friendly. The price seems high to me at $12 for the bacon green chili cheeseburger.

Don't freak out about trying to find parking. Parking is free at the motel if you are eating here.

“Best Burger in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2014

We found Santa Fe Bite in an article in the New York Times listing the top ten burgers in America. THEY WERE RIGHT! We sat outside on a beautiful evening and had a fabulous meal. Great milkshakes too

“Good and plenty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2014

Burgers, burgers, and burgers! Yummy, great food and great service. I had a bacon cheese burger with green chile and potato chips. The others had cheese burgers and sweet potato fries. Let's not forget the beer on tap. My burger was medium well just the way I like it and price was right too. I will definitely come back for more.
