Description: Tomasita's restaurant is a Santa Fe tradition serving classic Northern New Mexican cuisine. Stop by today for an unforgettable meal! Locally owned and operated in Santa Fe, NM, we take great pride in our high quality food, friendly and fast service, and of course our famous margaritas! Locals have consistently voted us as the premier restaurant for Best Red Chile, Best Green Chile, Best Margaritas, and Best New Mexican Restaurant! Our chiles are out of this world and you won't regret ordering either - or both! Tomasita's is a distinctly Northern New Mexican restaurant. Our recipes have been handed down for generation and serve as a reminder of the melding of cultures that together once depended on the corn, chile, beans, and fruit of the area. Since 1974, the Maryol/Gundrey family has maintained a commitment to the recipes and ingredients of New Mexico. Join us for lunch, dinner, or happy hour and try our traditional recipes with amazing flavor. Don't forget to top off your meal with a homemade dessert - sopapillas anyone

“If u like watered down green chile...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

We went on a friday night, the wait was abt 30 minutes. Kids got chicken fingers, we got a green chicken enchilada plate with posole instead of beans, and a red enchilada with ground beef. The chicken strips were ok. The side of ranch had way too much dill. The red enchiladas were just ok, and the green were so gross. They were flavor less, the green chile was just green chile- the sauce looked and tasted like water. No flavor. Nothing. The posole was just as bad. As a local - I will not be going to or recommending this restaurant.

“Over rated New Mexican Cusine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Tomasita's is "hit and miss" sometimes it is good and other times not so good. The atmosphere can be very noisy with makes it hard to converse with company.

“Good choice for New Mexican cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We visited Tomasita's mid-week for dinner and it was very crowded. They have a sign near the entrance warning patrons that the chiles are hot and to ask for samples if necessary. I do not like spicy food, so I ordered enchiladas with green chile on the side. New Mexican restaurants typically offer either red or green chile on dishes, or a combination of both. The heat of the chile varies from restaurant to restaurant. The food here was good, and of course the meals come with sopapillas, which are delicious with honey. The food was good, the service was quick, and the server was accommodating. I would come back here next time I visit Santa Fe.

“Good New Mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

In an old train station, Tomasita's has good food from what seems to be a pretty standard menu for the area. They asked if we would like our chili on the side. Not knowing how spicy it would be we took this option and like being able to put the chili on as we liked. Good meal at reasonable prices.

“Great Maragritas food so-so”

I love the drinks but the food was just okay. I had a burrito and my wife an enchilada. We actually had better in North Carolina
