“delightfully educational”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

A nice break from the touristy stuff. Located at Museum Hill. It provides static exhibits, objects of art, clothing and artifacts from the colonial period, and educational posters, handouts and videos. It brings that period to life, and fills in gaps for those who have not closely studied the area history(myself). Our next trip we'll take in one or more of the other adjacent museums.

Such a great atmosphere and historical perspective from the Hispanic culture of Northern New Mexico.

This is a great little museum for someone that has never been to MX or Spain. It is a small house with a limited collection of artifacts. Great for children.

“Ok”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

We were disappointed by this museum since the exhibits are labeled very succinctly, and not with enough information to give the visitor an idea of the relevance of the objects shown. It is next to Museum Hill, but not a part of it.

“Soul and grace in Carving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Do you want to live in New Mexico 300, 200, 100 years ago? This place transports you there. The rare santos, bultos, furniture and actual recreated rooms of the past will overwhelm you with soulful beauty. The guides are very good and knowledgeable.
