“Fantastic breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

My kids were nervous when it said burrito breakfast bar, but you have nothing to worry about if your kids are picky eaters. The fresh fruit was amazing and the waffles had the sweetest taste-before syrup. The homemade bread was dense and yummy-probably not good for kids, but great for mom. If you are into breakfast burritos, more power to you, but this breakfast is great for the non-burrito lovers as well. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had.

We had a bit of a "rough" stay the first night at the Inn. The A/C quit in the middle of the night. We reported it the next morning and were told it would be fixed. Long story short, by dinner the second night, our room was roasting again. We were given a new room and all was well with the A/C once more. When we checked out, Danny at the front desk said the manager would call us. It took 4 days to hear from her, but all worked out well. We were very appreciative of the concern shown for our discomfort and were told that 5 other A/C's had gone out over the weekend but were being replaced.

The Inn itself is "motel-like" in the courtyard, but rooms certainly are attractive and well maintained. The beds are really comfortable. Most of the rooms are "single-storied", so you do need to be conscious of keeping the window shutters adjusted for privacy. The dining room where breakfast is served is large and well designed. There is also outside dining, which was really nice on the 2 mornings we had breakfast there. The only glitch in the breakfast offerings was the waffle makers. You're not provided a measuring cup, so people just pour in batter, some of which overflows making quite a mess for the next folks in line.

Would we stay here again? Probably. The Inn is well located and we were able to walk everywhere in town without any issues. It is on a busy street, so you would be well advised to make sure you are not in the rooms right on the road (Room #1, the Kiva King we were given, did get a little noisy from the traffic).

Room Tip: Double check that the A/C unit has either been replaced (Room 16 for one). Avoid the rooms on the s...

Charming place. The owners and staff spend plenty of time on landscaping and maintaining the grounds in the courtyard. The room had an amazing air conditioner!! It was very quiet and comfortable with many adjustments for speed, temperatur and air flow. Our bed was the most comfortable of any hotel during our 7 day trip and the breakfast was excellent.

We spent six nights at the Old Santa Fe Inn and it proved to be an excellent choice. It was close to the historic town center, the Plaza and many galleries. The breakfasts were huge, burritos, cereal, waffles, fruit and tamales one morning. Enjoy cookies, chips, salsa and great guacamole at 4:00 p.m. each day with a cup of tea or coffee in a welcoming lounge area with lots of area information. Staff are helpful and parking is free. The room had a small fridge, microwave and terrific beds. Overall, the room was clean, however, carpets were stained and lighting was inadequate for makeup. Overall, I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

We didn't think our room was very charming. Old furniture does not equate to Santa Fe style.
One tile in our dark blue tiled bathroom was basle chipped. The photos of the hotel are misleading as you drive into an inner courtyard and park in front of your room. This must be an old motel that has been redone. Would never rate it the 3rd best hotel in Santa Fe……not even close. Also, the soap dispenser in the shower doesn't pump soap -- its a bad design and is very awkward.
On the plus side the manager of the hotel was very gracious and accommodating. Seven air conditioners had gone out and it was over 100 degrees outside. We were moved to another room for the night -- The next day we checked out as we did not like our room or the mattress (way to soft). Our stay was refunded and we moved to another hotel. To the managements' further credit, they had 7 new air conditioners installed the next day. The management couldn't have been nicer. Also, the location of the hotel is very good.

I would have thought that all the steps we took to address this guest's concerns might have warranted a kinder review, but perhaps not.

And almost 1000 reviewers disagree with her terse one-word assessment of our team's hard work at Old Santa Fe Inn, recognizing the value and excellent service represented by our property.

A clean attractive room with a friendly staff! This is an older & quaint place, but was a welcomed switch from our many stays at chain hotels. Impeccably clean with a comfortable bed and extra touches like bottled water, chocolates left by the bed, and luxurious soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion and bath gel. We booked by calling the Old Santa Fe In directly, as had been the suggestion of some prior reviewers; turns out they quoted a slightly higher price than I had seen on Booking.com, but when I mentioned this, they price-matched. Breakfast buffet was most pleasing. Starbucks coffee both in the room and at the buffet. I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Call directly to Inn so that you may get the best price and preferred location. There is no elevato...

My wife and I only had one night to spend in Santa Fe. This hotel was very nice. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. The property is located within 3 blocks of the square. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. We will definitely stay again!
