“Great value, great breakfast, great locale in this upscale inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

The Old Santa Fe Inn looks at first glance like an old-school hotel--rooms stretching around a courtyard. But it's more luxurious than that. Most rooms have kiva fireplaces, nice southwestern touches and luxe beds. And the make-your-own breakfast burritos are fab. All for less than $140 a night!

I love this hotel. When I first arrived to check in, Danny was behind the desk that night. He was polite, informative and more than willing to help us if we needed anything. Not also did we feel welcomed, we felt we belonged there. We had the Junior King Suite, room 36. The room was absolutely beautiful. Everything about the room had the southwest style to it. The letter was personalized to me and received chocolates from a local store, which we later went to. The Kiva fireplace to the paintings on the wall was just a perfect feel. The burrito bar was even better. The location is perfect. You can walk to the Plaza and surrounding stores or can drive to where the locals hangout and enjoy Santa Fe in style. Checking out was quick and easy. Unfortunately I did not get the gentleman's name that helped us check out in the morning, but he was polite and helpful. When we go back to Santa Fe, we will be going back to Old Santa Fe Inn.

Room Tip: Junior King Suite

I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our 4 night stay here! The hotel is basically and updated motel where you can park right in front of your room.rooms are small but absolutely charming with big wonderful beds (we had the traditional king), large flat screen TV, terrific shower and even a small refrigerator and microwave. But, the wonderful thing about the Old Santa Fe Inn is everything else that makes it so charming! When you first check into your room, there are bottles of water for you (replaced daily) and a small box of candies. The reception staff is exceptional!! We spent lots of time with Matt in the daytime and Danny in the evening......getting maps, directions, suggestions for restaurants, history. These guys were amazing and always interested in what our daily plans were and afterwards, how the day went. Breakfast is very ample and served in the lobby cafe (eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, cereal, fruit and yogurt) and always with Starbucks coffee and assorted teas. The staff in the breakfast room is absolutely charming too! Daily, from 4-6, hot chocolate chip cookies are served. The Inn is in a perfect location with only 3-4 blocks to walk to get into the town center. Without a doubt, I will stay here again and will recommend it to friends

I picked The Old Santa Fe Inn out of the AAA Tourbook. It was in our price-range and close to the capitol and plaza. The style of the motel is a throwback to the "u" shaped configuration with parking in front of each room. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were southwestern with nice little touches like bottled water and chocolates. The decor was subtle southwestern, very tasteful and clean. The hot buffet breakfast the next morning was the best I've ever had. The burritos were authentic and the breads were fresh-baked.
I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Any room is good.

After reading all the reviews I chose Old Santa Fe Inn to stay at for our visit. We were warmly welcomed, given information about the hotel and its amenities, and the hours for breakfast. The front desk attendant was very friendly, and patiently answered all our questions. The room, (room 5 upstairs ), was very nice. It is not huge, but I loved the kiva fireplace, the letter waiting that welcomed me by name, and the chocolates! We easily walked to restaurants, and attractions. Parking is right by the rooms, but not on a street. We are so glad we chose this hotel. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow!

My husband and I travel to Santa Fe once or twice a year. Since we discovered the Old Santa Fe Inn several years ago, we have stayed nowhere else. We have probably been there six times now. The rooms are clean and updated, the people are friendly and professional and the included daily breakfast is very good. We love that we can park our car near our room for easy access to our things, yet walk to the Plaza, galleries and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Had a great three night stay here. The cookies and coffee at 4p.m were a thoughtful gesture. The cookies were delicious, by the way. Also, the personal letter hoping we had a pleasant stay and the chocolates awaiting us in our room were unexpected but appreciated. Danny at the desk greeted us with a beaming smile when we checked in and gave us three excellent recommendation for places to eat. (Cowgirls, the shed and somewhere else excellent who's name I forget.) The rooms were warm, the beds were very comfortable. This hotel reflected the charm of old Santa Fe itself and was an utter delight. Stay here, it's close to the plaza, quiet, cozy and they really seem to want you to enjoy your stay. The breakfast, too, was excellent. If we ever return to Santa Fe we wouldn't even look for an alternative.
