“Nice ambiance, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here over the July 4th weekend and I was very pleased with the inn. You can't beat the proximity to the main town square. There are many good restaurants nearby. There is no extra fee to park your car. The rooms have a nice southwest feel-the bed was comfortable (I 'm very fussy about that). The free snacks and coffee in the afternoon will tide you over til dinner. I would go back.

The hotel was very nice. I booked because of the positive reviews from Trip Advisor, and was not disappointed! What really made this a standout was the knowledgeable staff. The front desk employees were "right-on" with their food recommendations. Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in the mini-suite.

I read the Trip Advisor reviews and we booked three days in July.
But then I kept thinking about the fact that it was on a busy street, and there was pull-up parking, and first floor rooms (security issues???) and I almost cancelled the reservation.
The reviews kept me booked, and I am so glad we stayed here!
Other reviews mention the breakfast but it truly is the best hotel 'freebie' breakfast I've had.
Full hot breakfast, great quality, tasty, fresh food. No powdered eggs here! No ugly Danish that sat around for days... Really wonderful nut bread, toasted and melty. mmmm.
And did I mention Starbucks coffee/
And the beautiful, private outdoor patio?
Rooms were adequate and clean, with good wifi, fridge, sink, and kitchen 'counter' space. Down comforters, good pillows, good lighting ..
I'd come here again and stay longer.
Afternoon homemade guacamole and fresh salsa, chips and cookies are a wonderful added perk.
Don't hesitate. This place is really good.
The plaza and great restaurants are an easy walk, even at night.

Looking for a reasonably priced family style motel close to the town square? This is it. Only three easy walking blocks from the town square. Rooms are clean and spacious. Property is a little dated. Full breakfast buffet included. Free WiFi. Cookies and chips available for no extra charge at 4 PM daily. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

We travel to Santa Fe every year and this is my favorite hotel thus far. An older but completely refurbished 'motel' with all of the quaint charm I expect in Santa Fe. Easy to navigate 'from' by car to anywhere else in the area. I truly enjoyed being away from the activity around the Plaza but still within a .4 mile walk. The rooms were smaller than a larger chain hotel but nicely appointed and very clean. Although I would rarely stay in an outside door room in a larger city, this was a very safe location and I had no concerns. The front desk staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet. This will definitely be a top choice for future stays.

This hotel is just great. It is in walking distance to the city center but still very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But brush up on your spanish if you want to speak to the breakfast staff :-) My husband just loved the coffee they served. The best coffee on our trip. The cookies they serve in the afternoon were a big hit with our little one. We booked a Deluxe Suite and got suite no. 41 with our own private large balcony. The check-in guy said, it is the hotels best suite and we agreed. The room was great and clean. The living room is separated from the bedroom by a door. The bed was big and comfortable. The living room was spacious with a gas-powered Kiva-style fireplace which we lit every evening. The bathroom is very small and the sink doesn't offer much space to place all your stuff like toothpaste, creams etc. but then I rather have more living space. The balcony had a big table with chairs and the view was great. Even though the hotel is close to a busy road, we had 3 very good nights sleep. The breakfast room is big and has enough tables. The breakfast choice is great. The burrito bar was great, but be aware, the red chile salsa is very spicy - but very good. I loved the bread, it was nearly as good as our Swiss crusty bread! The breakfast here at the Old Santa Fe Inn was the best on our trip through Southwest USA. The only negative point of this hotel is the WiFi. It did not work very well, always lost connection, which was rather a nuisance. Next time we visit Santa Fe, we will most definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a deluxe room, it's worth the money. We stayed in room 41 which was a great ro...

This hotel combines the original old Santa Fe feel - with the comfort of an up to date hotel, featuring all the comforts. Rooms are small but cosy and have good beds, aircon, and bathrooms. You can park right outside your room. The hotel offers a nice breakfast and during the day coffee, fruits, cookies. But best of all - the staff. We had one of the best and most friendly reception at this Inn. One of the great man working there is Nomar who does an outstanding job. You feel like coming home when you enter the little reception area and meet him. He is a great asset to the hotel. Excellent place from which to explore Santa Fee. Within walking distance is the old historic center where all the action and restaurants are. ¨Recommend this for anyone visiting Santa Fe.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are brighter, but you have to climb stairs. Room on the ground floor are p...
