“Clean, comfy, convenient”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

Three-night stay was our first at this fine inn. Room was immaculate upon arrival, stocked with reserves of facial tissue, TP and shower supplies. Thoroughly swept and cleaned each day. (I do various exercises on the floor -- and you can tell a lot about a place by how clean the rug is and its smell; this places gets a perfect score.) Room was roomy -- with space on each side and at least six feet from foot of bed to dresser drawer. Compact bathroom with shower, which had a spacious ledge and a shower head with good water pressure, also lots of hot water. Oh, a closet, too, next to the adjacent sink. Incredibly quiet room. Inn was full two of the three nights and we never heard next-door noise. Location is unbelievable, three blocks from the Plaza. Last, the breakfast bar had properly cooked scrambled eggs, good sausage and bacon, potatoes and a variety of toppings, plus a rotation of biscuits and pancake fritters(?, not sure what to call them); biscuits were a bit doughy. Coffee available all the time. Afternoon tea and cookies, too, but we weren't fans of the cookies. Helpful front desk, and very efficient check-in/out. Glad to see it is a popular place so it will stay in business (it's been around for decades, and has been remodeled). We will stay again.

My husband is quadiplegic and the handicapped room was totally accessible, with roll-in shower and access for a portable transfer lift. Not only was it accessible but extremely charming as well.

Michael, at the front desk, is gracious, helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the historic Santa Fe plaza.

Room Tip: If you need an accessible room with a roll-in shower call the hotel in advance as they only have one...

This was our first stay (11/12/11) at the Old Santa Fe Inn, but it won't be our last. The person at the registration desk was the best!! He was friendly and of great assistance in locating sites we were interested in. The room was spotless and the beds comfortable. The location is perfect for downtown shopping and close to market square. The included hot breakfast was good and room prices competitive for the area. We wish, as seniors, we could have negotiated a lower price. Having said that, we will definitely consider "Old Santa Fe Inn" on our next trip to Santa Fe.

Room Tip: There aren't any bad rooms.

Family of four and a pet...
Wow, what a Perfect place to stay. Location, cleanliness, parking, attitude of staff, room, etc.; everything was great! The breakfast was outstanding. I would have gladly paid $60 for a family breakfast like this. Fresh squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice, good coffee, burritos, eggs.
They also have patios with some jr suite rooms which is great if you have a pet. This place is a winner.

The staff members without exception are professional, gracious, knowledgable and very helpful.
The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything. Driving in Santa Fe is tough.
Free parking, parking in Santa Fe is a problem.
Breakfast selections were excellent quality and included a vast selection. This was finer than most b&b offerings.
Room was clean, clean, clean and very comfortable. The gas fired kiva fireplace added a nice touch to a chilly Nov evening and morning.

Just what we look for during our repeat visits to Santa Fe! Located a short walk from the Plaza, shops and restaurants it is a quiet and cozy small inn... as well as very clean. The customer service is refreshingly friendly and the warm cookies, coffee, tea and cocoa served at 4 every day is a lovely touch... especially if you're not dining until late... Other than a somewhat crowded parking situation and a crooked lampshade in our room it was a perfect experience!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

Our family of four stayed in a Jr. Suite for 5 nights. The room was sufficiently large, clean, and very quiet (windows were facing the back of the building). The beds were comfortable enough. The only relatively minor problem was the noise made by the heating unit when it was turning on. We solved the problem by heating up the room before going to bed and shutting off the whole unit for the night.

The hotel is an ideal location: it is a very short and pleasant walk to the Plaza lined with several interesting boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Free parking and a nice breakfast make it a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
