“Peaceful getaway”

Very quiet location with lots of room in the suite and close to Canyon Road which is filled with galleries and some good restaurants. Susan was an excellent hostess who made amazing breakfasts every morning and was very helpful with trip planning.

This was our first visit to Dunshee's. We had been to Santa Fe several times before and were really tired of the usual down town scene. We decided too try a B&B for a change and we were so pleased and so happy we made that decision. We loved the location which was walking distance to Canyon Road. It felt very special to be up in the area of the winding roads and old houses. Susan was wonderful and the gourmet breakfast were a great way to start the day. We also loved Susan's dogs. They are amazing and came to greet us while we were at breakfast every day. The bedroom was cozy and we really enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. We hope to go back.

Great location to town with all its wonderful attractions and only twenty-five minutes away from the ski basin. The suite is actually like an apartment -- amazingly spacious with fresh flowers and art work and books and music -- a truly relaxing atmosphere. Even has a refrigerator and microwave. An exquisitely prepared breakfast greeted us in the mornings with fresh squeezed juice and premium coffee. Our hostess, Susan, is warm, friendly, well-travelled and is a long-time Santa Fe resident. She gave us a unique perspective on Santa Fe living. One of our favorite places we've ever stayed!

We stayed in the Casita for six nights, and loved the location, tucked away on a tiny street, but just around the corner from Canyon Road. Susan was warm and hospitable, and gave us a great list of restaurant recommenations. She was never intrusive but always happy to answer questions as they arose.

The Casita is spacious and comfortable. Staying there reminded me of staying with an old friend, somehow familiar and comforting. The kitchen is well outfitted, there were lots of towels, and it was wonderful having a living room as well as two bedrooms to spread out. We weren't able to use the outside areas because of freezing weather and snow, but they looked like the would be lovely in the warmer months.

The frig was filled with tasty breakfast treats when we arrived: granola, artisan bread, orange juice, coffee, milk and butter.. We really appreciated this, and the granola is homemade and delicious.

Thanks Susan for a wonderful home away from home!

Room Tip: The Casita has a full kitchen, so if you want meals in, it is perfect.

Excellent stay in a very private and homey casita. Great location. New Year's Eve by a cozy fire. Comfortable and clean! Will stay again only for longer! Lovely hostess Susan! We even had a Christmas tree - felt right at home.

We recently spent 4 days at Dunshee's and can recommend it highly. We stayed in the suite, which is a remarkably large space with bedroom, bathroom, living and dining great room, and direct access to a porch and gardens. Classic adobe fireplaces are present in the bedroom, living area and outside on the porch. Susan is a very welcoming host, and her breakfasts are excellent (ask for the green chili souffle - wow!) Dunshee's is a short walk to the Canyon Road galleries and also a nice walk down into the old town area of Santa Fe and its museums. It is also only a short drive to Museum Hill. We will definitely stay there again if we get back to Santa Fe.

My companion & I have stayed at Dunshee's many times, and it has always been a great pleasure. Its location is within comfortable walking distance of the Plaza but is not too close-you fell like a Santa Fe resident! This past time I took a stroll up northern Canyon Road & felt like I was almost in the country. Susan's delicious breakfasts and low key but always helpful hospitality are a wonderful component of the stay. I am looking forward to the next time!
