Initially found on Trip Advisor. Unassuming store front restaurant in a large strip mall! The aroma that hits you when you open the door is wonderful, rich with curry and hints of cumin. Instant salivation, like wow! Am I in the right place or what! Service was great, and attentive altho' slowed a bit when dinner crowd arrived. The folks were genuine and friendly. For starters we tried the coconut fried jumbo shrimp with a mango chutney. Now, I am not a coconut fan, but I could have made a meal of this appetizer. By the way it is on the main course menu! My wife selected the spiced rubbed roasted lamb on a pita. The lamb less than flavorful, but the pita was fresh as were the vegetables and cucumber-yogurt sauce and the fries were good. I selected the Goat Stew and was not disappointed. Light curry gravy with potatoes and carrots and loaded with bone-on goat meat. All was tender savory in the rich curry gravy. I had my mouth set on this for dinner and Jambo Café did not let me down! The price is right. We do not dine in chain type restaurants when we travel and this trip to Santa Fe we were greeted with excellent food!
