“Great museum for learning some area history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This is an excellent museum with good permanent displays and wonderful changing exhibits to keep you coming back. It is very affordable especially if you get a combination ticket allowing you to enjoy other museums in Santa ;3.

“Under Renovation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

I am not sure how long the renovation is going on but most of the museum was closed for construction. I realize it was a perfect time because it was right before the high season but I was still bummed. I would definitely try to go back and see more because what we saw took maybe an hour to see.

“A very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for a pleasant, slow-paced way to spend our day so we started by checking Trip Advisor.

The New Mexico History Museum fit the bill perfectly! I don't think it is an "all day" event, but it is very nice.

HINT: Active Duty Military and their family members with them get FREE ADMISSION!

The Palace of the Governors is part of the History Museum as well, and there is an amazing array of artifacts. The third floor of the History Museum is the place for revolving displays. This part of the museum is HUGE, and we saw the "American Cowboy" exhibit; very cool!
