First let me say I would eat here again. The ambience is enchanting. Go shortly before the end of the lunch period (around 2:00 for a short or no wait.
My husband had the carne adovada which was great as ever. I had green chile stew and a walnut salad. Very small portions of stew and salad, and two-thirds of the stew was chunks of overcooked potato--not the few slices of just barely done potato that one expects in a very good green chile stew. The flavor was excellent, but I left the restaurant hungry, and I am not a big eater. $13 for a small bowl of potatoes and a few bits of pork in an admittedly delicious green chile broth, plus about 2/3 cup of greens with a teaspoon of blue cheese and another teaspoon of walnuts. Not a very good value.
No one at the restaurant ever asked if we were satisfied with our meal.
I went back to our room, had a Baby Bell Light, a handful of walnuts, a few crackers and a Clementine, and I feel much better.
