“Historic, but an under-utilized draw for Santa Fe.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

The historic San Miguel Mission is located about one block from the Loretto Chapel in Sana Fe. The building techniques of the time are apparent and impressive and the oldest home in the U.S. is just across the narrow alleyway. The mission was not accessible to us, and there were no postings which gave us any information to know if the inside of the mission could be visited or not. So, thankfully the mission was not our sole objective - otherwise it would have been a complete bust. If access to see inside is an option, this would be a nice venue; if not, it's not worth the traffic and parking hassle. Since I don't know, do some research to know before you go.

“My favorite church in Santa Fe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

This small, welcoming church is a real jewel. It is wonderful to be able to touch (and even encouraged to strike) a bell made in Spain over 600 years ago. Think of what it took to bring that to this area! You can also see excavated floors that are 300 and 600 years old. Knowledgeable and truly friendly volunteers are available to share your enthusiasm.

“NExt to the oldest house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

But it is worth visiting because it is small and historical. It is a wonder how all these buildings have survived for centuries. I always leave a small donation in all the museums and churches so that they will be preserved for future generations!

“Very Nice”

Very beautiful. The oldest church in the United States. The lady at the entrance welcomes you and gives you a little history lesson. We lit candles and prayed.

“Original”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

After seeing the Cathedral church and Loretto chapel this small church is a charmer. It takes you back to the original days of Santa Fe. The interior is plain but what you would expect from the1600's. Allow your imagination to roam
