“Great energy”

Always best to go early or later in the day and enjoy the energy manifested in the place. Sit and meditate.

“A must see while in Santa Fe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This place is amazing to see. Beautiful staircase! Also, very soothing inside and spiritual. I had always wanted to see this place and am so glad I finally saw it. I took fabulous photos of it.

“Santa Fe Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

This is a beautiful chapel that all visitors to see Santa Fe should see. The stircase story was on Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack years ago. Not only is the staircase an incredible engineering feat, but the guides will not tell you that the Forest Service tested the wood in the staircase years ago and the wood does not exist in the world. They then called it Loretto wood. I can't believe the people in reviews who complain about the $3 fee.

“Interesting stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Spiral staircase was interesting to check out, but that's about it.

They really play up the "miracle" of the mysterious unknown carpenter (as well they should -- so more people will pay the admission fee).

Actually the staircase was a lot more fascinating before they added the bannister. If you visit, make sure that you find the photo of the Original staircase --- Very cool!

“Beautiful chapel, fascinating story”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Had been recommended here by a couple of friends so we had to check it out. The chapel was beautiful and the staircase was unbelievable. Loved seeing pictures and reading the stories of what it used to look like and how it came to be.
