“Casa de la Cuma is the place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2007

My wife and I stayed several nights at Casa de la Cuma. It was great! We stayed in the Opera Suite. The memorabilia from the great operas fit in well with the Santa Fe Opera and the whole Santa Fe scene. The accomodations are lovely and the breakfast burritos were delicious! And walking distance from the square and all the shops and galleries! It was great to be able to park the car and walk beautiful Santa Fe. My favorite part was sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi and looking at the beautiful mountains. Santa Fe in one of my favorite places to visit and Casa de la Cuma is where I like to stay! You'll like it too!

This B&B is the Real Deal! It's run by a couple who live on site and tend to every detail. It's not a corporate motel/hotel. From check-in to check-out, Shaan and Colleen made us feel welcome. I have never had the level of service provided to me at such an affordable price. The room was spectacular -- immaculate linens, amazing bed and mattress and was it cleaned completely each day of our stay. There was more than ample space with a nice common seating area right outside the door to our room and a wonderful patio and hot tub area outside the B&B. Santa Fe is the type of place where you're supposed to get out and walk around to see the real wonders of the town, but we felt warm, cozy and at home always when at the inn. We loved it so much, we're already planning next year's stay.

Wow! I decided to take in the Santa Fe Opera with some friends. Rather than drive home that night, I decided to stay at a b&b in Santa Fe that wouldn't break my bank, but I wouldn't be wondering what crawled over me in the night. Casa de la Cuma, with its beautiful rooms (we stayed in the Opera Suite) and delicious breakfasts. The hosts, Shaan & Colleen, were kind and generous with their time. They sat and talked with us for quite a while the following morning about Santa Fe and the area attractions.

Such a nice bed and breakfast, feels like someone's home! Colleen and Shaan go out of their way to make people comfortable and welcome and how about that homemade granola Colleen makes? Still dreaming about it ever since I got back, thank goodness she has generously posted the recipe on their website! Thanks to Casa de la Cuma for a great stay in Santa Fe!

We thought we were in for a nice place in Santa Fe. The bed was hard, the room shabby and the price much too high for a very mediocre place in an enchanting city....Have been to S.F. many times, decided to try a new place to stay, what a disappointment.

My husband Chuck and I enjoyed a most relaxing stay at Casa de la Cuma. Upon our arrival, the innkeeper Sean greeted us with maps and suggestions of restaurants, concerts, and sights. During our three day stay, we came to realize just how "right on" his tips were. Enjoying the hot tub, surrounded by trees rippling in the strong breeze was most wonderful, as well as treating ourselves to the giant (double-person occupancy) comfortable chair out on the deck.
We also, of course, enjoyed the spaciousness and thematic design of the Opera Room, which has its own entrance, sturdy wooden table, and refrigerator. If you are lucky, you will meet various family members, all of whom are equally helpful. Sean even printed out our boarding passes upon our departure!

My family stayed at this lovely B&B in June of 2007. We agree with all the good reviews but I feel that one can never say enough about the wonderful hosts. They put their whole heart into this enterprise. The hosts go out of their way to answer all your questions and help you plan your stay in Santa Fe and its surroundings. They are very accomodating to the needs of a traveler. When you sit on the deck you might be surprised with a delicious afternoon snack, served while you relax. The hosts never refuse a little chat about their personal life or life in Santa Fe. The breakfasts are prepared with care and they are delicious. The rooms have a great local atmosphere and are kept very clean.
