This is a classic 1950 "Motor Court" style motel on Cerrillos Road, which used to be the highway into Santa Fe from Albuquerque. It's larger than it looks from the street and is built in a U around the small office building at the front. The rooms vary significantly in size, so I would ask for a larger one when you call. Some are spacious. Others aren't. The furnishings are newer (10 years maybe?) but inexpensive. The bathrooms are vintage, pastel pinks and blues. Some have tubs (OLD tubs) and some have showers only. The property looks better once you drive inside and notice the Santa Fe details. The major blemish is an old empty swimming pool which is fenced off. The rooms are nothing special, but are decent. No amenities (no breakfast, shampoo, hair dryers, etc. -- just coffee in the office, early AM). The Wi-Fi works in the very front rooms only at this time. This is a good motel for the slightly more adventuresome traveler who -- for the same price -- would rather stay in a place like this with atmosphere than in the blah Motel 6 down the street. Just don't be too picky about condition. It's like stepping back into 1950 Santa Fe. Personally, I liked it and would go back.
