“Beautiful B & B in Santa Fe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

My husband and I just spent three nights at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear. We stayed in the Spud Johnson room, and it was wonderful! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and Dan was a wonderful host! We appreciated his advice before we got there for restaurant recommendations, and his suggestions while we were there for daytime activities. Highly recommend!

When we arrived, Dan was the consummate host making sure everything was described to us in detail.
When Dan found out I was gluten intolerant he went WAY above and beyond to make sure my dining requirements were met even to the point of putting out gluten free cookie snacks and getting a gluten free cereal for breakfast. It's always nice to be treated so well and not feel like a burden due to my food requirements.
I loved sitting and chatting with the other guests at the breakfast table and being served amazing breakfasts by the host. Dan has great cooking skills!
I also love the history of the Inn. So cool to think that some of my favorite artists and writers actual stayed in the same house.
While we were there we were able to mountain bike AND snow ski in the same day. Such a fun vacation.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and can't wait to go back when the flowers are in bloom.

Would definitely come back. Very lovely place close walk to plaza. Breakfast and company was great. Going to get a gift certificate for our family members to stay there! We stayed in the Willa Cather room which was lovely. Main building and dining areas were beautiful and in keeping with the landscape of the area. We did not see the beautiful gardens because we visited out of season but we did see the beginnings of life in the gardens!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear. The location was perfect, close enough to downtown to walk yet near great roads for running (which we did every morning!). The Willa Cather room was comfortable and there was no issue with the shared bathroom. It felt special staying in a hotel which had lodged so many writers and it was fun to read about them as well. The breakfasts were terrific, healthy and original dishes which were a great start to the day. The hosts were helpful in suggesting restaurants and other tourist spots. The Inn itself has a comfortable living room for reading and talking with other guests. Great wine and snacks on Saturday night as well.We will definitely stay here again during our next visit to Santa Fe. It was a great value for the price.

A beautiful, historic place that is comfortable and beautiful. Dan, the innkeeper has a wonderful touch and thinks of everything! The food was delicious and his recommendations for places to visit and things to do are spot on! I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: We loved the Georgia O'Keefe room- very comfortable and tastefully decorated with a reminder all...

My husband and I accompanied by our chihuahua stayed four nights at the Inn; two nights in the Igor Stravinsky room & the last two in Spud J. My favorite was the Stravinsky - Spud a bit too rustic for me, but my husband really liked it.
We truly enjoyed each delicious breakfast prepared by Dan the Innkeeper. He is a great chef with a nice presentation and attention to detail.
We also enjoyed the books in the rooms about the poet Witter Brynner original owner of this historic home. Nestled in a tranquil setting, accented by lovely aspen trees, our stay at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear was extraordinary unique and memorable.
