“Great Stay at the Hacienda Nicholas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2007

We stayed in the Nicholas which is a wonderful suite. The bed was very confortable with luxurious sheets. The sitting room is spacious and comfortable. The best part of the stay was the staff. they prepared delicious breakfasts every morning and great treats with the complementary wine in the evening. The staff were extremely helpful with information on sites to see and where to eat.

  • Liked — Very comfortable room
  • Disliked — Some what limited shelf space in bath room. Still not bad.

This B & B is all within walking distance of everything in Santa Fe.
There is a lovely courtyard along with a quiet location. We stayed in
the Chasmisa room that had a wood Kiva fireplace. The staff was friendly and helpful to assist with your dinner selections as well as shopping secrets. They kept fresh baked goodies available 24 hours
a day. The breakfasts were tasty and healthly. Late afternoon produced wine time with snacks to share stories for the days events. Whether going with friends or your spouse it's the perfect getaway.

A perfect location, beautiful rooms and property. It was like staying at home, but you didnt have to cook or clean! Everything was kept in pristine condition. The breakfast everyday was phenomenal! The lovely wine party every afternoon and the constant supply of fresh-baked goods were the most welcoming thing I can imagine. Caroline, Anna & Jeffrey were so kind and warm. They made my friends and I feel like welcome house guests rather than just another impersonal hotel visitor. My birthday trip there with several friends will always be a wonderful memory. I wouldnt think of staying anywhere else!

I recently had the perfect getaway at Hacienda Nicholas. We were looking for southwestern ambience and found it. The inn was fabulous, comfy beds, robes and great kiva fireplaces. The food was exceptional. Very healthy breakfasts. Wine time with fresh salsa, guacamole and cheeses every afternoon. The location was exceptional, walking to restaurants, museums, and shopping. The staff was very helpful with suggestions and reservations for dinner. We have already booked for next year.

  • Liked — The southwestern charm and location.
  • Disliked — parking

We spent a very restful weekend at this small, relaxed b&b right in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Friendly staff, cozy rooms with personal charm, a nice main room with fireplace. Excellent breakfasts, terrific chocolate chip cookies and other goodies. I would highly recommend this place, especially for couples, summer or winter. Nice outdoor courtyard for warmer weather. Easy walking to all the attractions of town, and a quick drive to spectacular hikes and sight-seeing. And Santa Fe itself is of course amazing.
