“Everything one could ask for”

Hacienda Nicholas is all one could wish for: tastefully appointed and roomy rooms and bathrooms; quiet neighborhood; lovely and inviting common spaces; personable hosts; wonderful breakfasts with treats and beverages available any time; walkable to all of downtown. I would happily return any time I am fortunate enough to re-visit Santa Fe. Many thanks to Carolyn and her staff for making our visit that much more enjoyable.

In July my husband and I stayed in the Casa Juniper vacation rental through Hacienda Nicholas Bed and Breakfast in Santa Fe, NM. The Casa Juniper is located a short distance from Hacienda Nicholas and is a one bedroom apartment. We have stayed at the Bed and Breakfast many times and it is always great but we decided to try something a little different. We loved it. It is walking distance from both The Plaza and Canyon Road but is located a little off the beaten path which we both loved. It is a charming one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It is very comfortable. In fact we are returning to Santa Fe in two weeks and have booked the Juniper for this visit as well. Can't recommend it enough.

We have stayed several times at Hacienda Nicholas. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully renovated. Exactly as portrayed on the website. A few minutes walk to the Plaza via Palace Ave., and easy walking distance to either end of the gallery area on Canyon Road. Breakfasts are great--a different hot dish each day. Management and staff very helpful and friendly. Always enjoy it.

Carolyn and her staff at the Hacienda Nicholas are fantastic. We felt so welcomed and so comfortable and the breakfast is incredible. We will stay here whenever we are in the area. You can walk to the plaza and rail yards. The only time we had to drive was to the opera, which was a 15 minute drive. Great people, great location, great service, great food. Very highly recommend Hacienda Nicholas

Room Tip: We chose the Nicholas suite as it shared no walls with any other room and had it's own entrance...

This B&B is conveniently located to many walkable sightseeing options. It is near the Plaza. I really enjoyed their afternoon happy hour enabling a chance to mingle with other guests. Similarly, breakfast was delicious and enjoyable. A perk is the spa on location. Highly recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed the weekend at Hacienda Nicholas and immensely enjoyed our experience. The location of the B&B is exceptional - it literally takes only a few minutes to walk to the Santa Fe plaza. Compared to the prices of rooms at many of the nearby hotels in the downtown area, this B&B is very affordable. Besides all of this, the true value of the B&B lies in the warmth of the staff's service and the charm and uniqueness of the rooms and grounds. There's a beautiful atrium courtyard with garden and comfortable seating where we enjoyed a wine & cheese "happy hour" in the evenings and a well-prepared breakfast in the mornings. Our first night's stay was in the Chamisa room. This particular room was criticized in other reviews, but we found it to be very nice. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was well-controlled, and, though the room wasn't extremely spacious, it was more than adequate for our night's stay. Our second night was in the Wisteria room, which was equally charming and comfortable. We purchased the "romance package", which included a couples massage and rose-petal bath at Nirvana, the B&B-owned spa. The massages we received were some of the best we've ever had and the entire experience was wonderful. Our visit to Santa Fe included a trip to the hot tubs at 10,000 Waves and a night at the Santa Fe Opera. Our weekend experience was phenomenal and this was largely due to the care and quality of our stay at Hacienda Nicholas. By the way, we've also stayed in the past at the Madeleine Inn, a sister property to Hacienda Nicholas, and enjoyed those accommodations very much, as well!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice and they each have their own personality. Some rooms are attached to the m...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda Nicholas. The staff was terrific, very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were terrific with a flare of the southwest. The location was within walking distance of most downtown venues - restaurants, galleries, museums and the square where we saw a terrific concert. The 5 PM wine and cheese was a nice touch as were the cookies and brownies in the evening.

I would highly recommend this B and B for your stay in Santa Fe.
