“Exercise, great art, friendly people.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

Within 5 days in Santa Fe, my granddaughter (age 17) and I made 4 trips to Canyon Road. It's just too much to take in at one time. We wanted to see everything, and so we went into most all the galleries and talked to the owners and sales staff occasionally. Granddaughter is an aspiring artist, and the gallery personnel were most happy to answer her questions and give her information even though they had to know that she was not buying anything. Someday, maybe... I like their attitude! It was not a stuffy place at all, very friendly. And if you are a purchaser, you are bound to find many things to appeal to you. An easy walk from the Plaza or the La Fonda.

“Some repetitive art, but some very unique galleries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

Nice walk with lots of galleries. Much to see, friendly gallery owners, limited bathrooms. Most pieces were nature or Native American in origin, so the sights got a bit redundant after awhile, but the unique pieces really stood out in the mix.

Purchased a great piece at Canyon Road Contemporary Art, Inc. Visit Nancy and her pup Maggie there ... super sweet!

“Great collection of art galleries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

This is a great place to go to get a taste of a huge variety of art. Each gallery offers unique pieces. Try to go to the exhibit openings on Friday nights, it is interesting to talk with the artists themselves and makes for a fun atmosphere. It can be hot during the afternoon heat, and not all galleries are air conditioned, so I recommend Friday early evening.

“Shop the Canyon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Canyon road is one of the highlights of Santa Fe. Dancing Girls was a favorite boutique that transformed textiles from around the world into beautiful one-of-a-kind outfits.Creative designs had unusual jewelry and "world" clothing.Tresa Vorenberg Goldsmiths and Silver Sun were favorite jewelry stores. Amazing galleries of fine art and pottery shouldn't be missed.
