“Great location and ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

This hotel is really beautiful. It's right in downtown Santa Fe where all the tasty restaurants and beautiful shops are. The hotel staff was very friendly and prompt. They have this delicious and refreshing water in the lobby as well - cucumbers, limes, strawberries - delicious. The rooms were a little small, but well designed and very relaxing. The bedding could have been a little more comfortable - there was an odd, squeaky covering on the mattress (under the fitted sheet and the rest of the sheets) that was a little uncomfortable, and the sheets didn't breath very well. Other than that - wonderful experience.

We actually got a great deal on Groupon to spend a weekend at this hotel--one of our favorite places to stay in Santa Fe. The rooms are small and the bathroom is a little cramped but the charm of the hotel more than makes up for the deficiencies. The bed was extremely comfortable and the customer service is friendly and upbeat. We spent some time on Saturday in the El Secreto Bar and really enjoyed the fresh salsa, the wine and beer. We had breakfast on Sunday in the Tabla de los Santos and had a great burrito made with chorizo sausage. Great getaway weekend!

Room Tip: The rooms facing on the east side have better views.

This hotel was exactly what I wanted. It's probably one of the oldest hotels/Inns in Santa Fe. The rooms are a little small, but I was alone on business and it worked just fine. Ordered room service thinking it would just an ok meal, but it was an amazing diner. I chile Relleno that was not fried. Not eben greasy... made with goat chess and rice. Soo good. And the deserts ate so light and delicious, as well. The staff were very frinedly and pleasant. You van see them in the early mornings cleaning the fron windows with pride. A very old monastery feel to the place, but everyone is smiling and the lobby bar is hopping around 5 O'clock, too :) Nice stay. Great location next to the square and all the shops.

Thank you for choosing Hotel St.Francis while in Santa Fe. We are happy to know that our location, the room, and our old monastery feel was exactly what you wanted. Our friendly staff would like to welcome you back to enjoy our hotel and an amazing meal in Tabla de los Santos. Jarenda Ortiz

While the rooms are smaller in size, they are very charming and peaceful. The bed is by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I would have paid 100 dollars just to sleep in that bed. The staff were very friendly and the bathroom had lovely features.

We spent the night in Santa Fe at the St Francis Hotel and it was like traveling to a distant exotic place. The ambience and the service were impeccable and looking out the windows at breakfast and dinner made us feel we were in Mexico or Spain. The cocktail lounge and dining room were both lovely and the food outstanding. A short getaway that was perfect in every way.

First impression - welcoming, efficient. Room - wonderful, bright. Replace mattress in room 204 (high in center and very slopey on the sides). Restaurant and club was way above average. Service & cleanliness was excellent. Jerry waited on us each morning and he knew what we wanted for breakfast almost before we did - he and Alejandro made us feel like a guest in their home.

Room Tip: Santa Fe is a tourist town. So if you have a room right over or close to the entrance, expect some l...

We spent the night at the Hotel St. Francis last week. The room was "just OK", but the dining was incredible. Jerry took care of us and he was the kindest, most affable server I have ever encountered. I would stay there, again, because of Jerry. Surpassed by none.
