We, actually, extended our stay 2 additional nites. exceptional friendly & professional staff. Dog friendly is a plus. Rooms are spacious & clean. The pool is large with cabanas with pool service. Beautiful property. We would stay at this property again.

Without a doubt the best room of the 5 places we stayed during our trip. As Gold members of Hilton we were upgraded to a “Junior Executive Suite” and simply put two people will not bump into each other with this accommodation. There are rooms with fireplaces if you want one but with so much to do in the Santa Fe area why stay in the room? Breakfast was good. We did not try any of the other meals although the menus looked interesting and the cost was reasonable. There were some special offers linked to the casino which is large and includes a non-smoking section. The staff was excellent and we have already recommended this place to others.

Room Tip: Suggest above the second floor for a bit more privacy and away from common areas

We spend 5 nights here . Nice pool and golf course. Room was very clean, decorated beautifully and comfortable. Bathroom could have used larger mirror, hard for two people to get ready when only one could use mirror. Balcony is nice touch, but the person on the next balcony smoked awful smelling cigars, so could not spend much time out. There was a wall but had a window size opening the smoke came in. The resort is 15 miles from Santa Fe, but drove every day to eat, as food choices poor. 15 dollars per person a bit pricey for breakfast buffet with limited entrees. Enjoyed all the art pieces in the hotel, Did not enjoy the fact I could not get WiFi in my room, had to go to the lobby to get it and phone reception. There was several people there every day with their laptops and Ipads so I feel others had the same problem. If I return to Sant Fe I will stay in town, closer to eateries and drive out to casino.

I think this hotel was nice but definitely could be nicer. The staff has a lot to do with why this place has a subpar feel to it. They do not pay attention to detail. There was always dirty dishes and silverware left by the doors in the hallway, all day and all night. As far as the amenities, they were ok. Pool was on the cold side. The casino looks outdated even though this hotel is fairly new. The rooms were ok, we had a balcony. The one thing that I do not like was the lack of a bathtub. They have a big shower though which is great if you only like to take showers. I probably won’t be staying here again; there was nothing special about this place.

The suites are very nice, not luxurious, but nice. The hotel staff is awesome. The desk personnel will go out of their way to help you. There is an adequate breakfast every day and dinner Monday - Thursday. Beds are comfy. The area is quiet with the backdrop of the rocks and golf course and just far enough away from the Casino. However, a short walk takes you to the restaurants and other amenities at the resort. We even had roadrunners in the parking lot!

Room Tip: Some people prefer the casitas to the main lodge to have even more private lodging!

Buffalo Thunder is about a 15 minute drive from Santa Fe but once there you feel like you are in a desert oasis. The sweeping vistas allow you to feel close to nature while still being close to the creature comforts we've all come to expect.

There are 100's of works of art in this facility ranging from paintings to very large bronzes. We were delighted every time we came in to see such beautiful Native American pieces.

The casino is small by Las Vegas standards but I don't think it is what brings people to this property - as mentioned by others it is in the basement so doesn't encroach on visitors who have no interest. Smoking is allowed in the casino (although no alcohol may be consumed outside of the restaurant in that area) but the rest of the facility is non-smoking.

We were fortunate to be offered a suite which provided us 2 fireplaces, a huge balcony and a bathroom that was literally 20 feet long! As Hilton Honors members we were also given complimentary daily breakfast at the buffet which was very nice.

The front desk staff were more than accommodating and their helpfulness caused me to compose a "Catch me at my Best" card for one of the staff.

Fitness center is better than average for a hotel and the pool area was pleasant in spite of it always being filled with children. There is a hot tub indoors by the fitness center. There are also Spa services available which we didn't use due to time constraints and pricing of treatments.

The major negative is that since the location is remote to city center, the Wi-Fi and cell phone service is sketchy. If you make or receive a call (when you can) don't move until you are finished as 5 feet one way or the other can drop your connection.

The price was less than half of the cost of a comparable facility near the Plaza in town yet every bit as luxurious, I would definitely return there if I visit Santa Fe area again.

Room Tip: Request a room on a high floor - with a balcony if possible - so you can sit and gaze across the swe...

Not a gambler but wanted a nice room after a full day of driving. Having the casino on site added to the experience & restaurant/bar options. Property is new & well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Ours had a fire place & balcony. We had others in our party with rooms opposite side of the hall- both had good balcony views. Excellent fitness room & pools were a refreshing alternative. If you want to eat at the "Parrot" buffet then be sure to use the VIP line for hotel guest. Also the Torquise was a better bang for the $ since I didn't need an all you can get sick on buffet or a $40 piece of meat st the fancy restaurant.
