“Nice stay close to center of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

Picked this based on Tripadvisor's reviews. Nice, clean, close to center of town. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was it is not exceptional - but it did have a comfortable room and nice decor - for it's price it was worth it for a short stay.
The breakfast was better than average and the parking (which seems to be a problem there) was
free.

Thank you for your candid review, we certainly appreciate that preference is very personal, all our rooms offer a unique southwestern ambiance, but the suites are truly exceptional, should you visit us again you may find our suites more to preference. All comments are always appreciated.

Happy Travels Always.

My friend lives in Las Cruces and if either of us returns to Santa Fe we will stay at the Inn! Room on third floor was a mixed blessing: I lugged my suitcase going up but will definitely use the offered help going down. But floors are old and a bit creaky so glad we were on top floor! Breakfast choices included puffy eggy French toast, fratata, scrambled eggs with cheese and green chili if you wish-yum. All the other stuff like fruit, yogurt, ham, sausage. win wand cheesed at 4 to 5 is a real treat; the bar tender is wonderful because he really seems to enjoy serving people-and trying to guess if they ar Chardonnay or Sauvignon or Malbec or Sangria.

Room Tip: .top floor?

What a great review and so true about the 3rd floor, although one of my favorites, do take advantage of our help to lug suitcases up to the secluded perch on your next visit which I hope will be soon.

Returing to the Inn on the Alameda every 6 months or so comes with lots of anticipation... moments of rest, relaxation and a "Comfy Southwest Feeling"... They have changed the Breakfast which now includes a variety of great Southwest breakfast items... They moved from serving a contential style breakfast to a full on Southwest Brunch! They also now have room service with a great selected menu from the bar for those evenings and nights you just want to stay in and 'regroup, rest and relax".... Ampe parking is always free... and the Plaza is just a short 5 minute walk away.

My wife and I randomly chose the Inn on the Alameda for an anniversary weekend getaway and couldn't have been more pleased. Our room was charming, the Inn's location was superb and the staff was exceptional. The afternoon wine/cheese reception was a great touch after a day of "seeing the sights" and a chance to unwind before heading out again for dinner. And the continental breakfast was marvelous. All in all, the Inn on the Alameda is a terrific place to stay. It helped make an anniversary even more memorable. Thanks!

The room itself was fine, nothing special. But we did enjoy the breakfast which was good. The happy hour was also very nice although a little early 4 to 5. We would have preferred 5 to 6:30. Location worked out well and staff was helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience at the Inn. Our complimentary wine and cheese hour is designed to ease the busy check in time from 4 to 5, we begin food service at 5:00pm, and although not a happy hour we have several tasty moderately priced wines available for purchase through out the evening.

So glad you had fun in our great town and look forward to hosting you on a return visit.

We have stayed at the Inn numerous times, the latest the first weekend in May. It has the Perfect Location for walking to the Plaza or to Canyon Road, day or night. The breakfast buffet gets better and better, and the additional of evening food service makes the Inn a more full-service hotel. Lots of guests were partaking. There was confusion about our desired room at check in (we'd been assigned a room I'd specifically told the Reservation agent that I did NOT want) and one of the front desk employees was empowered to change our room to a more desirable location. Beautiful and natural landscaping all in full spring bloom! We will be back (again)!

This was my third stay at the Inn on the Alameda. I love it! The location is great, the staff is very accommodating, the in-town shuttle service is most helpful, the complimentary wine & cheese reception each day gave our group of 9 ladies a chance to meet and chat after busy days of touring, and the breakfast buffet was much appreciated by all. We also liked the chance to have gourmet light fare in the evenings when we were too tired to go out to a restaurant. I have recommended this hotel to several friends, and I will definitely stay there again if I make another trip to Santa Fe.
