“Great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

While the furniture in the room was a bit tired, the service and location of this hotel more than made up for it. There is a lovely daily breakfast and wine and cheese (with Sangria, a favorite). The front desk made all of our dinner reservations and recommendations and they didn't steer us wrong. We loved the shuttle service was a wonderful touch and much appreciated. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a big balcony, ours was tiny.

....total Santa Fe! Unique, charming, clean and very "at home" hotel/B&B. The property is well maintained, staff polite and very professional. We have been staying here for many years during our subscribed opera week. There rarely has been a concern, and we have always had a pleasant experience. Would totally recommend this property as it far exceeds many of the big, expensive hotels in this city. Centrally located to the main plaza and Canyon Road art galleries. Everything is within easy walking. The breakfasts always have many selections and fresh fruit. Great value!

the Inn is modest in furnishings and lavish in customer service. you can hang out in the living room for hours and they just want to know if you need anything. They even stored picnic materials for us and will make opera picnics which are better than the one the opera offers.
the rooms were pleasant in santa fe style. i appreciate the good quality coffee and having a safe as i have lots of electronic equipment that i dont want to carry around.
.the inn offers shuttle service in a 3 mile area which would work well for something like a trip to Stone Forest.
definitely will do a repeat visit.

This was the our fifth year in a row staying at the Inn on the Alameda and, we hope, there will be many more. For the week we are in Santa Fe to attend the Opera, the location could not be better. The rooms are great (yes, we do reserve the same suite every year and that helps). The breakfasts are perfect given the fact that there are so many places to overdo the daily intake of fine food - and, calories! This year we had another couple with us for their first time in Santa Fe and to the Opera - they too were smitten by the Inn and have already reserved 2014 for the same week with us. Pleasant and helpful staff, great location, and fair value - what more could one ask?

The Inn on the Alameda puts you within easy walking distance of downtown Santa Fe as well as Canyon Road, so it's a great location if you like to walk. Free parking is provided as well.

The rooms are decorated in typical southwestern fashion with up-to-date touches such as a flat-screen TV and a Keurig coffee maker. My only quibble would be the bathrooms, which are definitely not designed for 2 people. A walk-in shower would be a great improvement over the bathtub with shower head, and the small sink area really can't accommodate 2 people's toiletries.

A buffet breakfast is offered as part of the deal, and it is certainly adequate. There is only one person to take your room number, explain the hot offerings, slice them and put them in the microwave, and serve your hot beverage, so if there are more than 3 people, you can expect a wait. There must be an easier way.

The Inn recently started offering light dinners, and that backs right up onto the wine-and-cheese hour that is a popular perk for guests. It seemed a little disorganized when we tried it, and I wondered what the motivation was for increasing their meal service.

Pleasant personnel at the desk are a big plus.

We have stayed at the Inn several times in the last couple years and you always know what you are going to get! Breakfast is wonderful and has plenty of choices. Rooms are clean and so quiet that you forget you are in a hotel. Location is excellent and you can walk to almost anything. If you don't want to walk, they have a free shuttle service that we took several times to dinner. Price for where you are staying is much better then the other hotels that are in this area on the same level. I am a tough critic and the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the bathroom is a little small (no place to put anything) and you have to carry your luggage up stairs- no elevator. We stay her because this isn't a big deal to us, but might be to others. We will stay here again!

We had a little hiccup when we checked in but the staff did everything possible to resolve the issue. The location, the rooms and the staff make this a great hotel. We have already booked a reservation for next year.
