We stayed at The Inn from February 19 - February 24, 2012. It was a wonderful experience. The continental breakfast and happy hour wine tasting were both excellent. Typically this is not a busy time in Santa Fe. Our room was on the first floor. Each building (two I think) has its own living room which is great if someone wants to nap in the room undisturbed and while the other can opt to hang out in the living room and read a book or something. Each building has an elevator which is definitely a plus if you are booked on the second or third floor. I highly recommend The Inn on the Alameda. It is pretty close to The Plaza and 1/2 a block to the entrance to Canyon Road. Although winter our room's a/c wasn't working well and didn't have much air volume blowing out of the vent. Also upon arriving in our room the tv didn't work, and it was promptly replaced by a new one. Parking although limited is provided on the hotel's grounds. I spoke to friends and other groups of people that have been to Santa Fe and they all highly recommend The Inn on the Alameda too, so try it yourself - you'll love it!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room with patio; do ask about the a/c in your room upon booking.

My husband and I needed a weekend getaway badly and this adorable hotel was a great place for it! The room (King deluxe) was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated and we loved the fireplace! Also, it was nice to use the hot tub, especially as there were a few snow flurries when we were there. The breakfast and wine and cheese hour were both delicious and great perks. We also were given a great recommendation from the front desk for a good hike in the area (Ataya trail) which my husband and I both enjoyed. I really liked that the Inn was close enough to the Plaza area to walk but far enough away that it seemed a bit quieter and more peaceful. Overall, a great hotel at a great price!

We are happy that you enjoyed your weekend getaway, we know how refreshing a quick escape can be! We keep a copy of Day Hikes in the Santa Fe Day Area at our Front Desk so that we are able to help our guests make a wise choice for hiking at this altitude.

This was our first visit to Santa Fe. After lots of research we picked the Inn on the Alameda because of the location and all the great reviews. We weren't disappointed. We even got a complimentary upgrade to a room with a fireplace which was great for our snowy night there. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the wine & cheese in the afternoon and had a delicious breakfast in the morning. It was an easy walk to the plaza for all the sights. We loved Santa Fe and the Inn of the Alameda. We'll definitely be back.

We just returned home from our 10th or 11th stay at the Inn on the Alameda. The Inn and staff now feel like old friends....Danette and Charlie behind the wine bar at 4PM, Arturo and Jose at the front desk....it's always wonderful to see them. The service continues to shine from check-in to check-out. There are more expensive places to stay in Santa Fe, but for the location, price, and service, the value of the Inn on the Alameda is our finest find.

Room Tip: We like the King Deluxe rooms w/ either a balcony or patio. The rooms on the 1st floor at the back...

Thank you so much for your kind words! Jose has been at our Front Desk for 14 years, and we appreciate him more with every passing year. Arturo's tenure is a bit more recent, but with 5 years already under his belt, he definitely has the locals' tips for all things Santa Fe. Charlie and Danette really work to make our complimentary wine hour a relaxing time for our guests, and we're glad that they communicate a welcoming feeling.

The Inn on the Alameda is a gem of a hotel. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. We had a real mix of weather when we were there and the fireplace in the lounge roared on the day it snowed! Jose was great with restaurant recommendations! The Inn is so close to town -- easy to walk right into town. We loved our stay at the Inn.
