this was my 1st trip to Santa Fe as a young professional and I have to say the staff and the hotel was great. The have a shuttle and a spa and free WiFi that is code protected. You are close to all the downtown hotspots of Santa Fe with out being in the plaza.
I will say that the sofa's made me and my life mate itch the whole stay, to the point of forming a rash up.Maybe we just don't do well with wool sofa's & when we asked about the sofa's the staff stated that most are wool and some thing else. So if you cant handle the wool make sure to sit on the outside patio or hang out in the bedroom.
Over all this is a great place

We have been staying at the Hotel Santa Fe every Christmas Eve for the past several years. Its charm, amenities, and proximity to the heart of the City can't be beat. From the time we step into the hotel through its beautifully appointed doors and throughout our stay the friendly staff always exceeds our expectations. The shuttle service is a plus, though we bring our own vehicle and are familiar with the City. During this particular visit we enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace having a hot drink in the evening as well as the wonderful free morning coffee in the sunny alcove of the floor where we stayed. Next time we will come prepared to enjoy the free Yoga session. I may have to talk my husband into returning for our anniversary, my birthday or the Santa Fe Opera instead of waiting until next Christmas Eve!

The hotel has a nice setting, and the lumieres lining the top of the buildings were charming. The staff was pleasant and offered us an upgrade for just a few dollars more. There is a hidden resort fee in the on-line ordering process, so don't be caught by surprise like we were. There is temporary parking outside the lobby entrance, and permanent parking was available a short walk away. Our room - a junior suite - was warm, but just a little too cozy. For example, there was little closet space and no where to set your luggage. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. We had drinks at the hotel bar, but they were overpriced. I didn't think any bartender in Santa Fe could make a bad margarita, but ours did. The hotel has a concierge, and she was somewhat helpful in finding us a nice restaurant. Overall, I think we'd probably stay at the Hotel Santa Fe again, assuming it was merely for a place to crash -- nothing more.

We just returned from a week at the Hotel Santa Fe. This was our first stay here (second time in santa fe). We were overwhelmed at how much we enjoyed our stay. The butlers and staff overall were very attentive to us and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our requests. The food was fantastic (especially the venison) and dinner entertainment on Sat superb. We used the parking lot for our car rental, but also used the shuttle when we did not feel like driving. The evening happy hour and breakfasts on 6th floor were amazing in a beautiful setting. Lubo, Javier, and Mark were great butlers, and Danielle assisted me with a special request. They answered many of our questions and introduced us to the place. We wished we could have brought our dogs too, but they stayed home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

We enjoy staying at places that are not part of a big chain where you know what to expect. This place was unique in its atmosphere and hospitality. The gift shop was as inviting as any downtown and we were pleased to meet the artist and tribal council leader Geraldo.

Also visited nearby businesses: Sissel's for jewelry, Cowboyz for boots, Cowgirls for BBQ, RailRunner RR station, & more. Canceled other reservations to eat at Hotel Santa Fe's Amaya instead.

Can't say enough positive. Only drawback was walking out to the hottub after dark and not finding the light switch. Made due with the background light available.
