“Beautiful Labor Day Weekend in "Fanta Se"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

My fiance is orginally from New Mexico and wanted to show me the very best of "The Land of Enchantment." Mission Accomplished!! A critical piece to showing me the very best was staying at the Hotel Santa Fe and Hacienda & Spa. We checked in after a wary day of traveling from ABQ to Ojo Caliente. We were tired and hungry and needed to get a good soak. We were stoked because the hotel turned out to be right across the street to Tomasita's, a staple in Santa Fe and one of my fiance's favorite restaurants of all time. The front desk clerk was prompt and empathetic to our need to get to the room right away. She got us handled immediately and directed us to our room at the Hacienda. It was a full house that weekend, but they made us feel as though we were the only ones staying there. Incredible attention to detail. The maid. Maira was there immediately with additional towels and water.

The hotel is 5 star easily. It is a boutique style hotel, but what makes it even cooler and little more stylish then La Fonda or Four Seasons, also amazing options, but VERY spendy, is that they have some real appreciation for the native culture. Artifacts adorn the halls and it just had a very warm feeling, in general.

The following morning we went up to the 6th floor for their "continental breakfast." It was pretty good, with lots of homemade goodies to have with their amazing coffee and impressive selection of Tazo teas, my favorite. What was even more amazing was the view of the surrounding mountains while the warm New Mexico sun warmed the patio outside. Complete set up with umbrellas and nice big tables.

We visited the concierge for ideas on lunch on the Plaza and she provided very accurate directions and realistic expectations. Very helpful!! Gabe at the front desk was awesome the following day in getting us all wrapped up and directing us through the town and onto the 14 for a scenic ride on the "Turquoise Trail."

The hotel made the trip all worth while.

Room Tip: The Hacienda in the back is just as nice as the main hotel, don't think you are getting less...

This place is clean, beautiful, friendly and convenient. GABE at the front desk is so very helpful.
He recommended breakfast and dinner restaurants both of which were fabulous!
The rooms are comfortable, we had a suite and it perfect for us. The beds are way soft and comfortable too. The bathrooms are large and have everything you need. The shower head was amazing. (this is little stuff but my sister and I both agreed! : ) )
The restaurant in the hotel was good. Not spectacular, but good. There are so many great places to eat you can choose any and it will be great!
We both had a massage too and it was very good. The spa is nice!
I would and have recommended this to friends when in the Santa Fe area. They have a shuttle that takes you wherever you want to go and pick you up as well. They also have a free service from the airport.
Nothing negative at ALL to say about this place! Thumbs up!

Room Tip: Ask for a suite!

I love that someone walks you to your room and takes all your bags out of your car for you. Almost everyone here is incredibly friendly and helpful. There was just one girl at the front desk one evening who was negative and unhelpful and unfriendly. Everyone else was amazing. We loved the fruit basket in our room; my parents are diabetic so it was nice to have a snack as we were running around. My dogs loved it too. It is a soothing, peaceful place to stay, though my dad was annoyed waiting for the shuttle. Average 10-15 minute wait a few weeks ago when we were there.
The continental breakfast was stale but the coffee and juice were good. And the frosted flakes. So what, that leaves more room to eat at the restaurants! At least you get a little something to start the day, and the view was so beautiful from the balcony.
The pool area was small, but tranquil, with cucumber water and plenty of towels.I definitely want to stay here again. Loved it. Clean. Love the lotion and shampoo and soaps.

I recently engaged with The Hotel Santa Fe & Hacienda and Spa for accommodations and banquet services for an exotic car tour. We brought 13 automobiles, 26 guests and hosted and final night banquet for 50 people. All who stayed at the hotel were very satisfied with their accommodations; the rooms (junior suites) were spacious, clean and well decorated. The staff was attentive and provided the highest levels of service even though it was Indian Market Weekend. The parking accommodations for our exotic cars were great; there were no issues with security for the cars. I would highly recommend the banquet services, the entree choices were excellent, the patio area was a welcome change from indoor dining experiences and the banquet staff was fantastic and service oriented. When another hotel indicated there may be bus service issues for guests staying elsewhere, the staff stepped up and committed to guaranteeing transportation for any impacted guest. I would bring another exotic car tour to this hotel anytime.

Room Tip: choose the junior suites or stay in the Hacienda. Our group did both and everyone was satisfied

Hotel Santa Fe is a premium resort. We found it well worth the money. The service was excellent. The room was good. The pool is great! The spa was very luxurious. The location is excellent. We had an expanded opera package, which worked out exceptionally well. They offer free transport anywhere you want to go around town. The resort is one block from the train station, so we were able to do our whole visit without having to bother with a car. Excellent restaurant at the resort and within walking distance nearby. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms on third floor may have a bit better view than what we had on 2.

Of all the options in Santa Fe, it is difficult to choose. I usually choose a place near the plaza.
This was just as good if not better. I love the location of "The Hacienda and Spa at the Hotel Santa Fe" . All of the shops and restaurants near the Rail Area are close by, making it a great place to stroll. Purple cabs provided by the hotel will take you within a mile area when you are tired or its too hot - with charming drivers operating on tips only. The service was wonderful and it was pleasant to be greeted by the young Native American doorman who suggested we head straight to the pool on that lovely afternoon. The atmosphere and decor were very Southwestern. Great Indian cultural artifacts nd just plain quait. We had a cozy, nicely appointed, suite and small balcony facing the mountains. We enjoyed our recent trip there and would gladly stay again. Very charming place

Room Tip: ask for the "last minute rate" and upper floor- facing east-junior suite

We just returned from The Hacienda and Spa at the Hotel Santa Fe. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. I enjoyed to wide variety of selections in their continental breakfast. The iconic purple taxis were helpful getting to and from the downtown plaza, especially when wearing high heels. To find it was complementary within a mile radius of the hotel was an added bonus. The extra touches of chocolates and turn down service made it feel extra luxurious. The staff was friendly and attentive. It is a seven minute walk from the town square, but the benefit is less traffic noise as others in our group complained about who stayed closer to the plaza. If you are looking for quiet and comfortable, this is an excellent choice.
