“Completely Fabulous!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

I went to find a serene, quiet place to rest while having the option of visiting The Plaza, Santa Fe Shops and the Great Food options. It was beyond my expectations. I will return there on my next adventure to Santa Fe.

Four Seasons Rancho Encantado provided excellent accommodations during our recent visit to New Mexico. The location is conveniently located near Santa Fe (you need a car - hotel shuttle service is infrequent) and the property setting is wonderful. WIth spectacular views, beautiful landscaping and spacious guest rooms, the resort is outstanding.

Our room was spacious and we enjoyed a huge, luxurious bathroom - with heated floors, a soaking tub and an amazing shower. The fitness center gets a 5-Star rating and it was never busy - often felt like our own personal gym. The outdoor pool area is a terrific place to take in the sun, read, relax and enjoy the New Mexican sunshine.

The hotel and staff are perfect in every way , the hotel is an enclave close to the hubble and bubble of Santa Fe but feels remote and relaxing ?

The Four Seasons gives you the best of all worlds ,peace tranquility excellent friendly service good food in fact all you could want very close to the SF opera and down town Santa Fe one of the worlds greatest centers of art .

The rooms are spacious and the housekeeping very good ,avery nice feature is a fireplace in the room and some with them also on the private patio.

I would have no hesitation recommending everything this hotel has to offer to any visitor to this part of New Mexico .

You pay us the highest compliment when you say “I would have no hesitation recommending everything this hotel has to offer to any visitor to this part of New Mexico!" I am so happy to hear that you had a relaxing and enjoyable visit to the City Different. We hope you and your friends will return soon to enjoy many of the other activities here on the resort and Santa Fe during the summer season. You still have lots of exploring to do and see one of the Opera’s shows this season! I will be sure to share your feedback and compliments to the rest of the team. I hope to have the opportunity to personally welcome you back when your travels take you back to the Land of Enchantment!

This resort is gorgeous. It is situated in a beautiful location approximately 10 minutes outside of Santa Fe, with a breathtaking view of mountains and sunsets. The rooms are large and comfortable, with huge bathrooms complete with heated floors. We loved the wood burning fire place in our room. We had a room on the top floor, and we did not have any issues with noise, as mentioned in some of the other reviews. We enjoyed dinner at Terra, which was perfection. We also utilized the shuttle service to Santa Fe, which was very convenient. The hotel concierge made great recommendations for dining in Santa Fe and Taos.

A few minor drawbacks to an otherwise wonderful property:

I had mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary when I made the reservation, and I was very surprised that the hotel did not do anything to commemorate the occasion. This is not something I necessarily expected, but I was surprised and disappointed that they did not even acknowledge the occasion.

We booked a couples' massage, and the brochure in our room said that it would cost $150.00 for the couples massage. We thought this was probably a misprint (as it also said an individual massage was $150), so we called the spa and specifically asked them how much the couples' massage cost. They again told us it was $150. Of course, when we emerged from our massages, they told us it was $150 per person. We did not mind paying this price, as that is more in line with what we expected, but they need to communicate that the price is per person.

Breakfast prices are outrageous. I recommend venturing out to the market/restaurant down the street on the way to Santa Fe instead. They had the best breakfast burrito I have ever had in my life, and I think it was $4.00.

Overall, this was a lovely property and we would recommend it for couples or families.

Let me first say that this resort exhibits the very definition of luxury, beauty, and service.
This began as a 1-week stay for our family as part business/leisure while attending a conference in Santa Fe. When one stays at Four Seasons, there is inevitable expectation of luxury and service, and our stay was met with everything beyond expectation that made our stay most memorable from every aspect.
This resort stands on a picturesque landscape far enough from the town where the dazzling display of stars at night never stops to bedazzle, yet within 15-min distance to enjoy the historic Santa Fe. All of the rooms/condos are absolutely beautiful and luxurious that can surely comfort and pamper even the most selective guests, including us. Our condo had a spacious and luxurious bathroom with wonderfully deep tub and fantastic, huge shower area. The fully furnished patio with fireplace was a great touch as an extension of the main room that offers fantastic view. The front desk offers free rental of DVDs that make those 1.5 hr drive to Taos ski slope entertaining. The resort has so much to offer that a week stay was not long enough to experience all.
One evening dining at the Terra was met with such tasty entrees overlooking a cozy fireplace. Another evening in-room dining was also met with great, tasty meals. While the lack of pool use at this time of season was disappointing, the spacious Jacuzzi almost made up for that.
At the end of the day, what ultimately distinguishes luxury hotels from fine hotels is how guests are treated and serviced. And this Four Seasons Resort undeniably meets the very definition of luxury hotel in that aspect. The entire staff at the resort are amazingly friendly, courteous, and always helpful. The concierge is most knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful as are front desk staff. The reason for such impeccable service and professionalism by the entire staff at this resort, you wonder? I always say that water flows from top to bottom.
The executive staff consisting of Mr. Max Blanco, Mr. Bradley Russell, and Ms. Cindy Racco are most professional, courteous, attentive, knowledgeable, and importantly, understanding of guest's needs. The huge Kudos goes to Mr. Max Blanco who promptly and kindly addressed a few needs we had during our stay to make our stay closer to perfection. Despite having a resort full of guests, Mr. Blanco gave us a feeling of personal attention that was surely shared by others at the resort. When a light at the walking path needed to be replaced on our way out to a dinner in town, it was replaced by the time we returned to the resort, and he called in to make sure that our path was safe. Anything else we needed, how small or big, how trivial or challenging, Mr. Blanco delivered timely, always with a touch of class, and of course, full of smiles.
Overall, Mr. Blanco was the equivalent of a personal concierge, executive assistant, and the friendly neighbor all-in-one that made our week-long stay at this Four Season most spectacular, luxurious, memorable, and yes, FUN!!!!

Dear drjkim:

What a great and detailed review you have provided us from your recent stay at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado! I cannot thank you enough for your kind words and compliments. It looks like you and your family were able to discover Santa Fe and Taos during your week-long trip to the Land of Enchantment. However, I would have to agree with you that a week stay is not long enough to experience all that the resort and the City Different has to offer so you must come back to visit us for another week long stay! As you know our trademark at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is excellence in service, and we take this very much to heart. I will share your compliments and kind words to Max, Bradley and the rest of the team as there is no greater motivator than a job well done! Once more thank you very much for your time and feedback regarding your recent long visit to our little gem and we hope to have the opportunity to personally welcome you and your family back in the near future!

We received a very pleasant welcome when we arrived and the staff that we met kept that up. The resort is (in our humble opinion) well decorated; a modern, but warm southwestern style. The resort is located off the beaten path, which makes it supreme for relaxing and recharging the batteries. Santa Fe is close by and arrived after a day of Canyon Road window shopping and then had dinner at the resort. (Santa Fe has great restaurants, but the resort restaurant is on par with what the town has to offer and you can walk back to your room after a very nice dinner with excellent wine!) There is some very nice hiking too.

We had a Patio suite with a king bed. Again, very nicely decorated. Great bathroom with heated floors, deep bath and separate shower. Quite pleasant. The only small gripe we had was that we could hear people walking around and a baby crying. When a resort is so quiet little sounds stand out, although it certainly didn't keep us from sleeping.

We enjoyed our stay and I am looking forward to coming back here!

Room Tip: The lower level rooms may have a little bit of noise from people walking around upstairs. (Noticeab...

The service at this Hotel is amazing! Everyone on the staff is very sweet, and overly helpful! Need anything...they have it, and they will bring it to your room with a smile. Its a super small resort with very few rooms so you almost feel like you are in your own private space with just a few friends. :-)
We also really loved the causal nature of it all, the cowboy boots, denim shirts, country music, its a very relaxed, but attentive environment.
The only issue I ever had was my $11 latte. Its $11 if you want two shots. I think $7 with only one. We all know what it cost to get a Latte at Starbucks, and I know they have coffee in the room, but there is still no reason to charge $11. Make the alcohol a little more..or add a $1 more to the amazing food, but not my morning latte :-)
...but despite the latte price we will be back! FYI Room #10 was a great room!
Oh, but they should have some Dodge Ram trucks on the grounds for you to drive....driving a Mercedes up the High Road To Taos would not be the best idea.
