“We walked into history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

My husband and I visited the Santa Fe National Cemetery while vacationing in Santa Fe. We felt like we had gone back in time to history. It was so interesting to visit the graves of Confederate and Union Soldiers. We only had time to visit about one fourth of the cemetery but plan to go back next year when in Santa Fe. We were disappointed there was no literature to tell us more about the cemetery and it's history because the offices are undergoing construction and this is why we only rated it four stars.

“Very Interesting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We drove through the cemetary since our hotel was across the street and we had two vets with us. It seemed like the graves went on forever, which is sad. But, most of the headstones were for vets who lived long lives and their family members rather than those who died in the wars, so that was (strangely?) actually nice. There are sections that are clearly from war, but not the whole place like we originally thought. Overall, really glad we stopped by to pay our respects.

“Beautiful cemetary”

We visited early in the morning on Memorial Day--In and out before the crowds. Grounds are very well kept.

“A Must See To Pay Homage To Our Troops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Quiet, peaceful and well kept. The locator is a big help if you are looking for someone in particular. Very few shaded areas, so take an umbrella if you need shade.

“A Somber And Dignified Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This is clearly not a touristy place to visit. But, it is worth seeing. It looks and feels like a small Arlington. I walked around on a Sunday morning. I only saw one other person. He was down on one knee, hugging one of the white tombstones. He started to leave, then stopped. He turned back to the tombstone, stood erect, and saluted. That is something to remember. I would recommend strolling through here if you have time.
