“Clean and warm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Spent the weekend at the island and Juniper Lane Guesthouse was our resting/sleeping point. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The whole place is very clean, neat and warm. Full equipped kitchen and free WiFi is available. This review comes all the way from Sri Lanka. :)

I cannot say enough good things about Juniper Lane Guest House and the owner, Juniper. Juniper personally called us prior to our Anacortes ferry departure because she heard the ferries weren't running and wanted to make sure we were ok and/or if she could do anything for us if we couldn't make it over. We got to Friday Harbor on the only ferry of the day and upon arrival, our room was all set and Juniper did a check-in over the phone so we could get on with our evening. The room is so adorable and perfect for a couples' getaway...it's small but comfortable and has everything you could ever need. The house even has a kitchen to all the guests to use and Juniper keeps it stocked with dishes and coffee, etc. The soap in the bathroom is amazing, too!! Overall, we could not have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to Friday Harbor! Thank you, Juniper!

Really clean, cozy and with a fully equipped kitchen.
The place is beautiful and the price is reasonable.
I took a trip there with a friend and we had a great time.
I'd recommend you to have a car there, it's a little far from the ferry to go on foot with backpacks and stuff, even to go around the island, but still, it's highly recommended!

Last July, our scattered family met at Juniper's wonderful place for an extended weekend. We made The Cabin headquarters and had two additional rooms in the main house. Juniper could not have made us more welcome. Sitting out on the back deck each morning watching deer feeding below us at the edge of the woods and watching the mists on the meadow were a daily treat. Great place for people who like to do their own breakfasts and afternoon snacks and sundowners before going off to one of the great Friday Harbor restaurants.

Room Tip: Grab the two bedroom cabin for privacy

We've been here several times now, and each time are grateful for such a pleasant, interesting, comfortable, super-clean place to stay when we visit the island. The best value on the island, and Juniper is a wonderful host!

My wife and I had the opportunity to have the entire house to our selves on our off season visit to Friday Harbor. Juniper has tastefully transformed this home into a welcoming retreat that fits well on this beautiful island in the northwest. Attention to detail has been given to restoring all the natural wood of the home and highlighting those features with well appointed furniture and accessories. Customer service and satisfaction is a priority. Within walking distance from the ferry and downtown no, but for the price what you get is fantastic. Will definitely return on our next visit!

Stayed for three nights in The Cabin with two elderly parents with minor mobility issues. Wonderful to be able to park right at the door. Everything in the Cabin was spotless, well appointed and the beds very, very comfortable (I'm a very poor sleeper and had 3 great nights' sleep). Having two separate bedrooms provided us the privacy we needed. Juniper was very accommodating for items we asked for. Great location to use a base for exploring the island and having the kitchen allowed us to purchase food from the many markets/food stores to prepare fresh, local food which fit within our budget. I would definitely stay at Juniper Lane Guest House again.
