“Fun mini history lesson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

If you had to be stationed at a military base, the setting doesn't get much better than this. What a fun history lesson and a gorgeous place to wander for an hour or two. If the weather is nice, this is the perfect place to let your kids out for a run. Add this to your to-do list.

“National Parks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

We visited both the English and American Camps and hiked the trails. Interesting history. Our children completed the Junior Ranger program and received their Junior Ranger patches. The National Park Rangers were great with the kids and full of lots of fun information.

“Great hikes, Wooded and Scenic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

Larger than the American Camp, I can see why the British did not want to leave when they were there. Close to Roche Harbor if you combine the two into an outing.

“A Rainy Day Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

Especially on a rainy day this was a visit to a unique past that was almost present as if you could hear and see the soldiers on the parade grounds and see the ship anchored in Garrison Bay. Take a walk and imagine what it was like.

“Interesting history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

Scenic spot and very interesting history about how the San Juan Islands came to be in the U.S. Also interesting to see how the English lived vs the Americans at the tip of the island. The English lived it up compared to the americans. All of the military presents over a farmer's pig.
