My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights, while visiting Friday Harbor. Neither of us had been on the island since we were kids. We took the early ferry from Anacortes, over to the island. We got to The Orca Inn about 8:30 A.M.. We were able to check in early. We had a handicapped room, with king size bed, & a huge bathroom. I don't know if that was the only room like that, but I got that impression when I had made the reservation over the phone. Our room was very clean. It had a small refrigerator & a microwave. My husband was able to drive his scooter into the room & park it in the large bathroom out of the way. There wasn't a telephone or a hairdryer in the room. We found that a little odd, not having a phone in the room. They also don't have any kind of ice machine, or offer any kind of breakfast. They do have coffee & free cookies in the office. There was a coffee maker in the room, so my husband could fix his coffee in the morning. The Managers Coni & her husband Morris were very nice people. Coni was very informative about things to do & places to go on the island. There are 7 different buildings, all ground floor, interior rooms. Overall the place was very clean, & the Managers were very nice & friendly. The internet was very slow. Alot of times we couldn't get on at all. We would stay there again. Thank You Coni & Morris for making our stay more enjoyable. This place is non-smoking, so if you smoke you will have to go outside.More
