My fiance and I came out to the island at the end of February and stayed at lakedale resort. We got a cabin and stayed the night with some family. The place was so peaceful and beautiful we didn't even leave the resort until we had to catch the ferry sunday morning. The service was excellent. Everyone showed that they truly care about their job and enjoy coming to work. Being in the hospitality industry I notice those things. The boys were able to go fishing while the girls and I enjoyed some yoga on the porch right next to the lake!! I have no complaints. We will for sure be back again.

I stayed at Lakedale over the weekend with my husband, sister and her fiancé, and another friend. We rented out one of the cabins. We had the best weather over the weekend, which made for lots of outdoor activities! We spent the mornings fishing at Lakedale and enjoying the sun on the deck. We bought items at the local store, then went back to the cabin to cook for dinner. It was so nice and relaxing to stay at the cabin for dinner and to be on our own time. The cabin had every utensil that we needed for cooking and eating. After dinner we spent our evening outside by the fireplace. I would highly recommend staying here! If you are looking for something that has wonderful staff members, beautiful scenery and cozy accommodations, this place is for you!

Came here for a weekend getaway with my godparents. We took the lodge upstairs and what a pleasant surprise it was! The two bedrooms were perfect and the room was cozy while still being modern. Honestly... Probably one of the best stays I've ever had anywhere.

Clara at the front desk was great. The day before my godfather had seen a little airport base and as he loves small planes, I told Clara and the next day she hooked us with a great scenic flight of the San Juans. Perfect weather, perfect and inviting hotel staff. If you go there on a clear weekend, you can see a bunch of stars if you stand on the lodge's main balcony.

We loved our time there, thank you lakedale!

I highly recommend this, you won't regret it.

My family stayed here over President's Day weekend and it was perfect for us. Since it was off-season it was very, very quiet and tranquil. The lodge seemed cozy, but because it is adults only (which isn't a bad idea) we stayed in one of their cabins right on the lake's edge. Again, perfect for my family of four: two adults and two boys, aged 11 and 13. It was a good size, clean and stocked with everything we needed. Just in case, the lodge sells a breakfast basket with waffle mix (all cabins have waffle makers), blueberry muffin mix and some other items. They also sold s'more baskets and firewood bundles for the outdoor fire ring. We didn't get a chance to use one of their canoes or row boats, but they were all out and ready to go. The lodge is locked at night, but the cabin key allows entry to borrow a movie from their small selection, get a brownie or cookie that they put out at night, or buy a bottle of wine from their honor system wine refrigerator. Seems like a lot of fun in the summer, with a lake to swim in, boats to row and marshmallows to roast. We'll definitely be back!

This place is hopping during the summer with hordes of campers crowding the areas around the lovely little lake. However, scant crowds and relatively low off-season rates make this a great place to spend a restful winter holiday. The lodge rooms are generously sized and nicely furnished, including gas fireplaces. Enjoy the ample continental breakfast and made-to-order omelets. Rent a canoe for a leisurely hour paddle around the lake.

Room tip: Second floor rooms have a lovely lake view, but there is no elevator. Beware the pillows on the bed -- they are amazingly uncomfortable. Check for much nicer ones stashed in the closet.
