We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room had a small balcony overlooking the harbor which was wonderful. We liked the hotel because it was clean, modern and walking distance to the shops/cafes in town. We do recommend you take your car on the ferry so that you can drive around the whole island to experience the beautiful sites. There was internet access as well. We reserved the romance package which was a nice touch and the dinner rated fairly good but pricey. Breakfast was simple but good enough since it was totally convenient to go downstairs every morning. Loved the granola! If you are willing to spend a bit more for accomodations with a nice view of the harbor - this is worth it!

After many trips to San Juan Island I can confidently say that this is the best hotel there. It is right in the town of Friday Harbor, an easy five-minute walk from the ferry terminal (a must in the summer when taking your car can be an ordeal). This is a newer hotel with 20 rooms and currently expanding, perched on a small hill right above the harbor. Views of the harbor are incredible. Many (but not all) rooms have a balcony or deck to sit and watch the ferries come and go. Located one block off Spring Street (the main street), there is easy walking access to shops, restaurants and a grocery/drug store. Rooms are very clean and contemporary. Very large bathroom and glass-enclosed shower; granite countertop, and a large separate jacuzzi tub. Rooms are spacious and have a gas fireplace, new carpeting and furniture. Closets and storage were spacious. Bed was not the best, but by far not the worst we've slept in, either. There is cable TV; didn't notice or ask about Internet access (but you're going to the island to get away, right?). Did not try the restaurant. Staff is extremely personable and professional. We will definitely stay here again when we go back.

we got the top corner room. a great view of the harbor. quiet. a great bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a seperate shower. the complementary breakfast was good and the view from the dining room is the best in town. the staff wasn't super friendly and they were even a bit "snooty" when we had dinner in their restaurant. we would go back, though.

From the outside this "Inn" doesn't look very nice at all. The dining area is very nice because of the views & dinner was wonderful. Breakfast (included) was a lacking a bit. They offered bread, homemade scones, hard boiled eggs and banannas ( no other fruit). The hall ways need updating. The rooms are nice but nothing to speak of. Bathroom area has a good amount of room and shower was good. Bed & pillows need help.
We were there 3 days and overall a nice place to stay.
