We stayed for a weekend getaway recently. Seems to be mainly a business hotel, so it was not busy. This hotel is a good example of why I am loyal to Marriott. Very attentive service, especially in the restaurant. We were given a nice room due to my Rewards Program standing. The bed was very comfortable, room clean, and the hotel was pretty quiet in spite of the fact that it is surrounded by freeways. Don't stay here if you are a Riverwalk tourist - too inconvenient. The main hotel decor looks like it was updated with a limited budget, but it is still classy. My only complaint was a noisy air conditioner. Try the breakfast buffet and even dinner - I was very impressed by the service and the food. Not 5 star hotel, but a good example of how well run a company Marriott is.

I booked this hotel thru priceline's name your own price and was able to get a room for $60.00 per nite. I was worried at first because we have 2 boys and priceline books rooms to accommodate 2 adults, which usually means one bed. I called the hotel after my reservation was made and req'd a double bed room. They did not have any available, but did put us down for a rollaway. When we arrived at the hotel, everyone was all smiles and hello's. Very friendly and helpful staff. At check in, the clerk stated she had a double bed room available if we would like it. Yay! The room was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and again the staff was very friendly. Noise was low. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so no outside view...but we did have a lovely view of the fountain. Would definitely stay here again, especially at the priceline rate :-) OH...one thing to note...when folks warn about traffic and construction, take it seriously. Our whole 3 day trip was almost perfect, the only drawback was the construction...made for very frustrating travel. Once we got where we were going, everything was great!

Normally do quite well with Priceline, but not this time. Priceline listed this as a 3 star property. Hotel's decor seemed lost in the 80's. Fountain in main area of hotel was beautiful but the room showed some wear and tear, although the bed was very comfortable. Room overall not very clean. Chair was crusty and gunky. Bathroom and amenities were nice. Smoke Free hotel. Smoking area located outside the pool area way out by the back parking lot. Was not covered or lighted, very unsafe at night. Stay overall was decent, but in no way worth the price paid.

The comfy Marriott bed, amenities and gracious hotel staff saved this from a 3-star rating. Restaurant breakfasts are also good. The downer was that I had a room that opened on to the interior courtyard -- it was always dark, heard bar/restaurant noise in the room, and the air conditioner was incredibly noisy. There's a lot of highway construction around the hotel so it was also tough to get to but that's not the hotel's fault. I'd stay there again but will insist on a room that faces out.
