We were traveling with 3 families. One of the families had already pre-paid for all 3 rooms and we had written our friend a check for reimbursement. However, when we arrived, the front desk told us that our room had not been paid for and asked us for a credit card. Thank Goodness we called the other family because they ensured us that they had already paid. We did have to wait for them to arrive and show their credit card before we could check in, which was a pain, but it was only a 15 minute wait so it was fine. I am just glad we did not pay twice. Once we checked in, we were notified that the elevators were all broken and there were people trapped in them. The front desk was very nice and apologetic about it and they allowed us to leave our luggage in a secure room until the elevators were fixed so we did not have to lug it all up 5 flights of stairs. We took only our essentials to our room to shower after a day spent at a waterpark. The 5 flight climb was more than I would have liked but at least we were not on the 10th floor!
The room was very nice, clean and spacious. It was disappointing that they had 2 double beds instead of 2 queen beds but that was exactly what the reservation was for so it was not mis-advertised. The bathroom was quite small but the water pressure was excellent! When the elevators were not working it somehow affected the TV too, so we could not watch TV for a short period of time until the elevators were fixed. The manager's reception and full breakfast were excellent. We stayed for 2 nights and the second night we hung out at a table in the lobby where they serve breakfast to visit with our friends and play games. It was nice that we did not feel like we were disturbing anyone and even had a bus boy come by and offer to open one of our bottles of wine for us. It was always difficult to find a place to park but, after circling a few times, we would manage to find a space. We had provided a separate credit card for incidentals (like room service) when we checked in but our final bill showed the entire amount charged to my friend's card. We went to the front desk before we left and they fixed it quickly. All in all, we were very happy with this stay and would stay again. There were a few issues but we appreciated the way the staff responded to them.
