“San Antonio Rock n Roll Marathon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

My three friends and I shared a room for the SA rock n roll marathon and we had a great time. The room was clean and the customer service was great. The parking was alittle high but for downtown san antonio we expected as much. Also, the hotel should have partnered with SA rock n roll to let us have a late check out with out paying a $50 fee.

We took our daughter and grandson to the Grand Hyatt ... she was running a half marathon while we were assigned to watch her 3-year old son. We stayed on the Club Level (23rd floor) which was well worth the extra price. The Club Room was a very pleasant place to hang out with our grandson ... two televisions and plenty of healthy snacks all day long. Everything else was pretty much what you would expect from a Grand Hyatt. The rooms were a bit small, but this is a downtown hotel where space is at a real premium. Service was great and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located along the river and close to restaurants, shopping, theaters, etc. We were very pleased that they allowed us to check out 2 hours later than normal so our daughter could take a shower after her race.

Room Tip: Try the Club Level rooms.

It is a wonderful Hotel in the heart of San Antonio by the River Side. A great place to stay if one has to Organise a Conference / Convention. The Convention Centre is huge and has excellent facilities. The Hotel also is one of the best I have experienced so far. Large Lobby, spacious Lifts, a wonderful Italian Restaurant, vibrant bar / coffee shop, spacious Rooms and very good panoramic view.

I was surprised to learn this hotel is 7 yrs old. Looked and felt very worn and in need of some renovation.
Meeting space was adequate. Food service was good. Best thing about it was 3 blocks to Riverwalk.

The hotel is centrally located, clean, grand lobby and nice rooms...except the bathroom was so small two people could not be in it at one time. I've stayed in Holiday Inn expresses that were larger!

The pool/fitness area was under renovation, but still accessible and very nice. I like to swim laps and the pool was nice and long.

Other than the small bathrooms and the 500 High Schoolers staying there for a convention, we had a nice visit!

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt to celebrate our first anniversary. Our room was very nice and very comfortable. Had a nice view of the city, wonderful bed and a nice bath. The front desk was very helpful and was also kind enough to give us a pass to the Grand Club since we were there for a special occasion. Our package included a breakfast buffet which was also excellent. The location was in perfect walking distance from the riverwalk and the tower of America. My husband made a great choice with this hotel!

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Tx, attending a conference at the Henry Gonzales Convention Center next door. I arrived early, shortly after noon Texas time and was greated by a friend front desk person (Amanda) and was quickly registered and on my way to my room. I did not expect to be able to check in that early but this Hotel has it going on! The room was very clean, beautiful 24th floor view and extremely quiet, Flat screen TV, King-size bed, nice furnishings- a great place to stay, I also utilized room service several times during my stay and was treated to great food and excellent service provided by friendly and polite waiters. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in San Antonio. Centrally located and three blocks to the Alamo.

Room Tip: Rooms above the 20th floor have a great view!
