My husband and I spent five nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast in April of this year. We thought this would be a good time to visit San Antonio since it was the last few days of Fiesta.

When we arrived at the B&B, Bennie greeted us and gave us a wealth of information about restaurants, the riverwalk, Fiesta and the bed and breakfast itself.

We've stayed in numerous B&B's over the last 12 or so years, and we rate this one highly. Bennie and Sue, the owners, were very gracious hosts. Breakfasts were scrumptious and served at 9 a.m. (good for me since I'm not an early riser).

This B&B is located in the King William historic district and within walking distance of the riverwalk and most other sights in the area. During Fiesta, there was a parade that traveled right past the Brackenridge House, and we had front row seats.

Bennie and Sue live in a home next to the B&B, and their guests have access to a beautiful stone swimming pool in their backyard.

If you're looking for warm, friendly hosts, outstanding gourmet breakfasts and a good location to San Antonio sights, this is the perfect place to stay.

I stayed at the Brackenridge House in May for two nights, not nearly long enough. Charlie's room was a cozy haven in the city, with everything we needed and wanted and more. The hosts had beer. wine, sherry and chocolates for us. There was a gorgeous pool to use and we did. It was so refreshing to come back from sightseeing to be able to cool off in the pool. It was also nice to sit on the front porch in the swing or rocking chairs. The breakfasts were divine and very filling. The bed and breakfast is in good area for restaurants and proximity to the downtown core and the alamo. I had a great stay.

Bennie & Sue were absolutely the best ! They were there to greet us when we came in and everything was absolutely fantastic! The Bridal Suite was very private and we enjoyed the view of the pool from the back deck. The pool & hot tub were very relaxing after a long day of activities. Bennie & Sue really went out of their way to make our friends' birthday special and the breakfasts were wonderful. We looked forward to each morning to see what we would have that day for breakfast. A great variety. Location to riverwalk and restaurants was great. Nice walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Bennie & Sue for such a delightful stay.

My husband and I had a grand time at Brackenridge House during the last few days of Fiesta. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was equipped with all the amenities you could want. Our mornings always began with an incredible breakfast experience, and great advice about how best to enjoy San Antonio.

Bennie and Sue went to great lengths to ensure a carefree stay; picking up a forgotten prescription, checking on rental car availability, printing boarding passes, and on our early morning departure providing a continental breakfast and calling a cab.
