Our stay at the Brackenridge House was outstanding! We were greeted by Sue and Bennie upon our arrival. They were very helpful with explaining the neighborhood, the trolley system, providing us with maps and the names of their favorite restaurants. Our room, the Benet Suite, was extremely comfortable. We have stayed in B&Bs for ten years now. The Brackenridge breakfasts were by far the best we have ever had. It was wonderful to visit with the other guests before venturing out each day. The location of the house was perfect. We spent the day downtown then looked forward to returning to the quaintness of the King William neighborhood. The pool, and especially the hot tubs, were welcoming after a long day of sightseeing. We highly recommend the Brackenridge House, and thank Sue, Bennie and Lily for making our first trip to San Antonio so enjoyable!

My wife and I experienced a thoroughly enjoyable stay the closing weekend of festival week. We booked based on their excellent rating on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Sue and Bennie go out of their way to make all guests feel like family. They can't do enough to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed here for three days while we enjoyed the San Antonio Fiesta. Of all the Bed and Breakfasts we have stayed in, I think the Brackenridge House was the best by far. The breakfasts we were served were simply incredible. Bennie and Sue are wonderful hosts and couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions about what to see and where to dine. If the reservation sites indicate there are no rooms call them directly. We did and they were still able to accommodate us.

My husband & I just returned from a week in San Antonio at the Brackenridge House. Sue & Ben are great hosts, and their assistant Lily was so helpful -- and a wonderful cook. The beds are very comfortable, and each room has a microwave and frig. The front porch wicker swing was my favorite resting spot after a long day of sightseeing, that and the hot tub out back. The pool looked very inviting, but we didn't get to spend any time there. We definitely will next time.
Oh, the breakfasts. How to describe them....... Four courses plus coffee and juice. A surprise every morning. The French pancakes are to die for. Lily's Bing Cherries in rum sauce were my husband's favorite. And the last course is a surprise. That I won't divulge.......
