“Must visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Thanks to Diners, Drive ins, and dives, we found this gem of a restaurant while in San Antonio. House made mozzarella was to die for. Pizza took me back to my trip to Italy. They don't take reservations and the place is small. It was well worth the wait though.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. We had this pork app on a skewer loaded with cheese. it was a lite app, but very delicious. The pork lovers pizza was to notch, and then the nutella based desert with the home made whip cream was a great way to finish.

“Great place to eat!!! and sample wines!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Dough's is a 'happening' establishement with authentic pizza made in a brick oven that is visible to all patrons. Wine sampling is a must! Try the 'olive' and cheese tray.... wow! Cannot wait to go back. It gets busy quickly so make sure you have time to wait.

“BURRATA CAPRESE! YES!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

The BURRATA CAPRESE was as good as it looked when they were on the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Show. It is a 12 on a 1-10 scale. THIS alone is why the place gets the "Very Good" rating. I also had the PIZZA NAPOLETANA MARGHERITA “STG” (Tomato sauce, Mozzarella di Bufala, Parmigiano Reggiano, basil) and it was NOT as good as the tv show made it look. I love the thin flatbread style (authentic pizza crust) of Italy. However, Marcos Pizza, thin crust is as good if not better. Since they make their own Mozzarella, it is very tasty.
We sat outside and although a little chilly, they provide outdoor heaters and blankets at every chair. It's a nice touch. If in the area, yes, go.
If more than an hour away, don't waste the gasoline. I am sure you have a nice little Italian restaurant with an imported brick oven from Italy as Dough Pizzeria does.
The atmosphere is casual but don't take your kids. There is simply not enough room and the kids would not be happy. They are expanding so will have more indoor seating which is sorely needed, but I still advise against bringing the kids.
The prices are also too steep for this fare. Really...
