I was in San Antonio for a wedding and opted to stay here instead of where the other guests were staying and am so happy with my decision. I didn't want to leave! It was perfect!

We stayed at the 1908 Ayres Inn for an overnight trip to San Antonio. The rooms were pretty and very clean, with soft towels and L'Occitane bath products. They have a great coffee machine and breakfast was delicious. The hosts were very helpful and polite. The only downside was that we had to drive into downtown San Antonio because it was a bit too far to walk. We plan on staying here every time we visit San Antonio.

In a pouring rain we arrived at he 1908 Ayres Inn. Mike and Hector greeted us at the door, gave us a delicious cup of coffee and a tour of their beautifully restored home. The told us to help ourselves to anything in the dining room and it's refrigerator. Our second floor room was a huge beautifully appointed with luscious linens and toiletries, a desk in it's own alcove and a large HD flat screen TV and DVD player. This was particularly important because on this rainy night, our home football team was playing and we settled into two comfy chairs to watch. My computer connected to their wifi but not having a printer, Mike volunteered to get and print our boarding passes. After a really good night sleep, we were greeted in the morning by the delicious aroma of fresh baked cinnamon buns. Our only regret was not arranging for a longer stay!

Home designed by Ayres, a locally prominent architectural firm. Location is perfect for visiting San Antonio's museums and downtown. Be sure to take both parts of the San Antonio River boat trips.
