The Hotel Contessa is a reasonable priced luxury hotel. The staff is tremendously friendly. The service is superb! The rooms are very clean & the beds are the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in! It's located within walking distance of the river walk, shops & restaurants. Eddie G is one of the most helpful employees there. Always greeting you with a smile & he goes out of his way to assist you with any of your needs! It's truly a 5+ star hotel. I will be going back to stay there again.

I love this hotel!!! Not only is it beautiful and clean and roomy, the staff is superb as well. They were very friendly and eager to please. I really, really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again. The restaurant in the hotel was very good with great service.

I recently stayed at Hotel Contessa for a business conference and was inspired by the Exceptional Customer Service exhibited by Hotel Staff! From the moment I walked in the door until I left 3 days later, each employee that I came in contact with treated me as if I was the only person in the hotel. The restuarant staff were Phenomenal! The front desk staff conducted themselves in a very professional manner and made me feel welcomed and at home! Top Notch!! I cannot wait to stay there again!!

The Good:
:: location...it's close to tons of stuff! restaurants, bars, the riverwalk, sightseeing, and more
:: service was top notch from start to finish. the whole experience was terrific, professional and exceptional. everyone, from the front desk greeters checking us in to the managers to the room service guys, was very friendly and professional. they made us feel at home!
:: FREE WIFI
:: the hotel made my sister's 40th birthday stay great with little touches, like sending up complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries and a sweet note. loved it!
:: private patio overlooking a quiet section of the riverwalk was wonderful and pleasant!
:: everything was clean...the lobby, the entrance, the room, the bathroom, the elevators...awesome!!!
:: the rooms were huge! loved the suites!
:: flat panel TV in the livingroom AND the bedroom
:: very nice bathroom amenities...it smelled so nice! almost like soap meets aromatherapy
:: very comfortable king bed
:: PLENTY of lighting in the suites in all the rooms. GREATLY appreciated that one
:: great soundproofing in the suite. i've stayed at hotels where the door faced an atrium and it was LOUD but this place didn't have that problem. excellent!
:: cozy sofa in the livingroom
:: awesome HUGE floor mirror in the livingroom made it easy to get ready
:: showerhead pressure was great
:: window that let in natural light in the shower!
:: free fruit in the lobby

The Bad:
:: the parking situation is kind of blech. the only option is valet parking at the hotel for $30 a day. there are some nearby parking options but you may or may not get lucky, depending on how crazy downtown is with events going on.
:: elevators could be a little slow but i'm not sure if that's normal or due to high demand that day (there was a race going on and there was high occupancy in the hotel)

The Ugly:
:: none

Would I go back? Most certainly will! The service, the room, the privacy on the riverwalk, the proximity to things...all signs point to YES.
