“Texas Hill Country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Good Hiking. Very pretty. Many times I do not see anyone while hiking. Trails are natural and terrain is hilly. Have seen deer, snakes, and other wildlife.

“Great exercise and nature trails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

With an easy access location of I-10, this is an excellent hiking park near a large city. There are easy trails and advanced trails where a person of any fitness level can test their endurance. People are friendly and courteous. The trails range from paved to rocky, from flat to steep. Be careful of your footing on advanced trails and bring at least 20 ounces of water for a summer time hike, as well as sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and maybe even a long sleeved shirt to protect arms. While it is close to the city, it feels like country out there, and it restores me after a week of fighting traffic. There is no fee, restrooms, but bring your own water just in case. They have been constructing some new public areas and it is well maintained. Please take out any garbage you take in.

“Great place to get some exercise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

Really enjoy "walking" the trails! No pets allowed, but still a great place to go out for some exercise or just to enjoy nature. Nice clean restrooms too.

“Walk your...... off”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Great trail to walk. Be ready it has a lot of climbing involved over rocky areas, but worth the time.
